My sister recommended this place because it's close to her work. Everything is made from scratch which was a huge selling point for me. However... my wedding was in San Antonio, and I live in Houston. I tried to set up an appointment for a Saturday so I could taste a cake, look at a design, etc... I was told that they were always booked on Saturdays ALL DAY so that would be impossible. Whenever I tried to talk about what I wanted on the cake, I was always informed for at least 10 minutes about "how busy" they were. I couldn't get a word in edgewise. It got really annoying! When I finally booked the cake, Sandy told me that I could change whatever I wanted up to 1 month before the wedding. My guest list shrank to 80 people and when I asked her to downsize the cake, she threw a fit. Obviously because it would be less money. She said that she could only do a 2 tier cake for 80 people and I would need to get cake for 130 people if I wanted 3 tiers. I stuck with the 2 tier because I was going to get a groom's cake as well. Speaking of... it was supposed to be carrot with white frosting. At the wedding I was shocked to see the football team's blue and white logo on a brown cake. It looked terrible, and it wasn't even carrot. I was so let down because I was going to surprise my husband, and carrot is his favorite. He doesn't even like chocolate. I spent close to $600 and was sooo disappointed with everything. That was double what my budget was, and I didn't even get what I asked and paid for. When I complained to her, she just said that it must've been a misunderstanding since we did all of our business over the phone. Maybe she should be more accommodating to out of town clients! No refund, nothing. I wouldn't trust them with big events if I were you. They'll take your money and not deliver.
Pros: cakes made from scratch
Cons: unreliable, unorganized, rude, unaccommodating, hard to contact
