This meal was very expensive for mediocre food. Plus, the waitress scared me with her painted-on eyebrows.

Highway robbery.. Had my 15th Anniversary dinner at your restaurant and was so disappointed. We ordered the special which was Sirloin Steak, potatoes and asparagus. I order my Sirloin med rare and it was, but the knife could barely cut the steak. The steak was so tough it was like chewing shoe leather. There was no salad with the meal. We had a choice of bread which tasted like it was days old. Not fresh at all. I have been in the restaurant business my whole life and if my father would have ever served a steak like this he would be out of business. Especially paying what we paid. I would never recommend your place to anyone. Very disappointed. more

We have been long time customers of Elizabeth’s and have enjoyed many events at this cozy little bistro. The food & service are always excellent. The menu changes often and they use local and regional ingredients. Their deal of dinner and a movie is a little know offering, of a three course menu and a movie ticket for the theatre across the street at $35. The wine bar during happy hour is one of our favorite stops while shopping downtown. more

Perfect For Lunch 12/17/2009

Had our office holiday lunch here yesterday. The Tuscan Panini is yummy, topped with fig jam. What's neat about this place is the bread, pasta and desserts are made in house. My favorites on this menu are the 5-spice seared duck breast and the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. The staff is fun and friendly, but very professional. The atmosphere is urban upscale, without being fussy. It can get noisy on busy Saturday nights but this adds to the fun. They also have an upstairs dining room which is calmer, if you do not like being around the action. Since we moved here seven years ago this has been our go to place on special occasions or dates. Just wish they opened on Sundays and would bring back the French caramelized apple bread pudding. Pros: Everything made in house Cons: Wish they opened 7 days a week more

Wonderful experience 12/6/2009

This is the most wonderful place. We have not had food that was this tasty since we visited Italy 8 years ago. The service is professional and friendly. The wine list has many different varietals with a price for any budget. Also sounds like the other reviewer does not know about the pizza hut law in PA and that restaurants can lose their license when parents let under age kids drink at the table and decided to take it out in their review. We will be back to this place even though we live an hour away. Pros: Food, service and wine list Cons: wish we lived closer more

Huge Disappointment 11/9/2009

While visiting my son at Bucknell Univ I decided to treat him to what I thought would be a nice dinner at an upscale restaurant. However, Elizabeths was a huge disappointment. First of all, they refused to serve me a glass of wine with dinner, as my son is underage and apparently they thought I would be passing my glass off to him. They had the nerve to bring out the manager and the owner to confront me about this issue, causing an embarrassing scene and ruining my appetite. Then, when the food finally arrived, the meat was dry and very over cooked, despite asking for a rare steak. My son found a hair in his meal, which the waittress refused to take back. All in all it was a terrible experience and I would rather have eaten at Big Al's Pizza across the street. This restaurant is overpriced, the food was sub par, and you can't expect to have a glass of wine with dinner if an underager is in your party. more
