Worst

new to the area and looking to replace my regular masseuse from back home. small rack of nail polish color, almost only reds and pinks. the nail lady managed to paint my toenails the wrong color- even after i corrected her twice. she also forgot to paint a topcoat on my toenails. the jet's in the footpath were clogged so they were left off. the masseuse had long finger nails that kept digging into my back. the lights were barely dimmed. their were no nice fragrances. the massage room was located directly beside the 2 pedicure chairs, only separated by a thin door. during the entire 1 & 1/2 hours of my massage i could hear the 4 women outside the door gossiping about their children & discuss how a goldfish had died in the shop's fish tank & how there were chunks of goldfish still floating around in the tank & how difficult the goldfish was to flush down the toilet. there was a point in the beginning when i honestly thought the masseuse was going to burst out laughing and say ""Just kidding! Come on into the real massage room!"" But unfortunately she didn't. she did however at least apologize for their volume a few times and attempted to drown them out with the CD player... that kept skipping. I really don't like to be rude. this place seems like it has good intentions, but i think it should stick to hair and nails. it was not at all a massage environment & i was, & still am, completely disappointed that i spent so much money & time there. it just didn't feel professional at all. sure, it had a nice quaint charm to it, but also a rink-dink feeling as well. more

Relaxing Afternoon 3/3/2011

After having a really stressful few months my husband suggested that I go to Elite Retreat for some time for myself. I had an excellent massage from their massage therapist, Fatima, which really worked the knots out of my shoulders giving me some much needed energy. I have had spa packages that included pedicures, manicures, and massage previously at Elite Retreat and have never been disappointed. I will be back. The environment is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly, professional, and accomodating. I would definitely recommend Elite Retreat to a friend. more

Wonderful Day at the Spa 2/6/2011

I came here after receiving a gift certificate to get a teen facial and express pedicure. I have been here one other time to get a 30 minute Swedish massage (AMAZING). When I walked in they immediately took me back into a room to get set up and the process began. For about thirty minutes my face was rubbed, scrubbed, and rejuvenated. She (while using gloves) put a variety of different creams onto my face and used fresh warm water to remove. The exfoliating did not hurt too bad and I was very pleased to how soft my face was afterwards. I then had my express pedicure which was very relaxing. They had massaging chairs and did a good job. I will definitely be returning! more

Relaxing and Enjoyable !!! 8/25/2010

I have never been in here before and I received a gift card for Mother's Day - I had a great facial and massage and was treat very well. I was hesitant about going since the last review from Aug 13th was rated poor so I asked the manager about why that patron was disappointed. The manager clearly remembered that patron and told me she had used a portion of her gift card and that when they hand it back to her they remind her that she has a certain amount of time left to use it. I'm glad I called prior to get the facts. That patron should be mad at herself for not using it on time and not blame this place... they do a great job!! more

Dissapointing Customer Service 8/13/2010

I received my gift certificate for Christmas last year. I redeemed a potion of it in February. My massage was fine, even though my masseuse was almost 30 minutes late. But I got a good massage from her, so can't complain about this part. more

Great Experience 5/24/2008

I feel that when you get good service you should share the wealth with others. I gave them a try and was extremely satisfied with my Mother's Day Appreciation Package. The massage, manicure and pedicure was well done and relaxing. They even had lunch catered in and I was able to choose what I wanted. The place is very clean and the staff accomodating. Best Facial, best massage, just the BEST! 4/16/2007

I visited Elite Retreat last weekend expecting average service since it is not a big ""downtown"" type spa. I have to say that I have been to many other fancy (over-rated) spas and this one is one of the Best ever! It has them all beat!!!! I had a spa day with a massage, manicure & pedicure, a facial and lunch. Everything was tops!! The massage was FABULOUS! I felt like I was in heaven. Left feeling relaxed and refreshed, LOVED it! 1/28/2007

I went into this experience not quite knowing what to expect but I can honestly say that I was more than pleased with the outcome! I received one of Elite?s spa packages as a gift and seemed to have a completely different experience than the comment left before mine. I was so happy with all my services that I received that I'm taking the time out of my life to leave this message! Everybody there was so nice and accommodating. The whole environment was tuned towards my needs, I truly felt pampered. My pedicure was awesome, after soaking my feet the girl gave me one of the best foot massages I've ever received. The owner gave me my manicure and I thought she did a wonderful job, she then gave me a facial and it was so relaxing, my skin came out so soft I loved it and have already scheduled another! At the end I received an incredible massage from a girl named Ashley. I've gotten a fair amount of massages before but this was by far the best I've ever received! I was so comfortable, and the massage was so fluid I couldn't believe how fast an hour and a half went by! All my soar spots were gone by the end and during the massage she checked in with me to see if I needed a different pressure. This spa day was a great experience, the only negative was when it ended! I would highly recommend it to anyone who asks. Pros: Relaxing atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff, awesome facials, manicures, pedicures, and massages Cons: I didn't get the change to try out the salon and during the massage you could hear a little noise coming from the salon/spa more

DO NOT GO HERE! VERY LOW CLASS AND OVERPRICED AND OVERRATED!!! 1/3/2007

AWFUL!!! I had the Spa Retreat package, which includes 1.5 hours massage, manicure, pedicure and lunch was included. The manicure/pedicure was horrible!!! The lady claims to be the owner of this place. If so, I don't even think she's qualified to do nails. She did not give me the spa treatment like massaging my fingers or feet. She left hangnails, no use of nippers, etc. She didn't even cut my nails correctly nor file them. The nail polish looks like someone drunk was working on them! This place is a joke! If the other people gave this place an excellent rating, these people were probably family members or the did not get their nails done. The lunch was tasteless and cheap, nothing ""spa like"". However, the 1.5 hours massage was excellent. I would not recommend anyone spending $170 for this package. Go only for the massage but not the nails or the cheap lunch. You can spend the same amount at Chateau Elan and have the REAL spa treatment, not this back woods hill billy place they call a spa! It's not anything near elite status or should be considered a spa. It's just a hair salon with low class, unqualified nail technicians. Pros: massage therapist was excellent! Cons: very low class, poor nail service, cheap lunch! more

Pleasantly Surprised! 2/17/2006

This place is great - it caters to adults only. I was surprised at the vast menu from hair to massage, facials, tanning, even permanent make up applications AND laser hair removal are only some of the many, many services provided here! I have no reason to have to go more than one place to get all my services. Well done! Pros: Private Parking, Friendly Staff Cons: Only 1 location more

I am new to the area and dropped by for a haircut. I was so impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the spa that I decided to try a deep tissue massage. I was completely delighted with the salon and spa and my massage therapist, Jessica. I will be back! Jeff Todd more

I'm new to the area and gave this place a try ... you can only imagine how nerve wracking it is to try a new hairdresser but when I came into the spa the stylist made sure to consult with me, called my old hairdresser for my hair formula and made me feel right at ease - my hair couldn't look and feel better - thank you Anna Field - Trish W. more

I've been to many places that claim to be a ""spa"" - this place is truly not one of them - not a hair salon with a waxpot in the back, Elite Retreat offers so many different services - the atmosphere, staff, and services were one of the best I've ever experienced - try for yourself - Sarah Rue more

I have never been to a day spa before and I can only try to describe how relaxed and pampered I was the day I came to Elite Retreat. I received a gift certificate for 4 hours at the spa - I had a fabulous 1 hour facial, 1 hour deep tissue massage and then my hair was shampooed and styled before I left - I also had a healthy and delicious lunch during my time at Elite Retreat - thank you all who performed my services - Cynthia Pros: clean, friendly, go over and above more

The best spa experience I've ever had - quite and serene - I was offered complimentary beverages of my choice and snacks. I enjoyed a day of a facial which included cleanse,extractions, steam, mask and massage therapy, a spa pedicure with eucalyptis mask and steam towels, and a one hour massage with a rainfall in the background and soothing music and afterward was offered a complimentary shower if I desired whereas after my hair would be styled and make up applied - terrific!! Pros: reasonable prices, great staff, atmosphere more
