Elite Palace

My son's wedding at Elite Palace was beautiful. The food was not to be believed (and we went to a lot of tastings before we booked) and the service was tremendous. When we booked the hall, we were promised that we would have a stress free event, and we did. The manager and his staff were on top of everything that day, and e were able to focus our attention on the most important day in our life. This place is highly recommended. more

My wife and I got married at the Elite Palace. We visited quite a few places, but none equaled the elegance of the Elite Palace. The catering Halls? rooms were magnificent and the food was exquisitely prepared, as well as delicious. The staff was wonderful to all. The guests as well as my wife and I are still marveling at the perfect affair we had. more

Went for a wedding, very impressed with appearance of hall unfortunately that's where it ends. The staff was rude, direction was nil, the food was all cold, cocktail hour and dinner, (husband and I both sick that night)coffee or tea was not served. There was only one bar set up, in the back in the dark, and when the server took a break you just had to wait. Look elsewhere to have your special occasion. more

Sham718, dont book wedding there Its the most horrible place i have ever been too, Let me first start by haveing evreyone know Iam a chef and Ive been in the catering industry for over 10 years. Food food food,is not this place first priority. Cocktail hour was Horrible. Food that should of been Hot was Cold and food that should of been cold was warm, Lets just say there was alot of food bourne illness in that room. They also had pass orderveus when i ask the waiter how this crabcake was made. He told me out of the box into the fryer. There was not one cocktail waitress on the floor, Everytime you wanted a drink wait on the large line. Bartenders are very unproffesional open shirts, rudeness, using hands to put ice in glass,. As you approach large room, notice staff in hallways on phones, calling texting you name it. BE ready to hear alot of drama, I say this, as i was sitting down haveing the most dryest, hardest pasta i have ever had in my life the waiters were talking about there personal life right next to me. No wine on tables, No parmesan cheese on tables, Not even a pitcher, of water. Dinner was horrible I order filet migon, I said i would like it medium,waiter let me know its all well done. As dinner came out, i got no filet migon i got 2 slices of roast beef, with a salty gravy. And this i could not believe instant potatoes, there was a round snowball of this gluey white stuff. I could go on and on all day about this place. this place sucks, it sucks it sucks it sucks, As the night went ononon and the list of complaints grew, it was about 12:30am the wedding wasnt over till one, Staff was breakingdown tables moving chairs. taking linen off tables. Letting guess know its time to go kicking us out. I let manager know this was very unprofessional guest were still in room> He just walked away from me. Please do not have wedding here. dont have anything here. more

Haven't booked a place yet but got a bad feeling from the start from the lack of interest the banquet manager Enzo showed in is. Seemed to want to get rid of us pretty quick and we had to ask to be shown specific rooms and ask specific questions about what was offered for a wedding package. Don't be too fooled by the exterior beauty of the place...looks can be deceiving. Tread with caution! more

I was here for my best friends wedding. The Space was beautiful, high ceilings, and everything. The cocktail hour was great, the stations were perfect for everyones needs. We are kosher and they accomodated us and more. The waiters and waitress's were friendly and made suggestions on what to order. The is a great venue for a wedding or a any event. I have been to many weddings in Queens/Long Island area and this place is the worst by far. I don't know who wrote the positive reviews, they must work there or own the place...here is just a few examples -A friend of mine goes to order his first drink during cocktail hour and orders a drink with premium liquor and the bartender rudely tells him not to expect to drink premium liquor all night -45 minutes after cocktail hour starts the bar ""runs out"" of beer, and thats after only having one type of cheap american beer on hand and most people drinking mixed drinks. -I was served a piece of fat that they pass as a steak, my wife's fish was raw and under cooked. Also, they didnt serve salad with ""dinner"". -My wife asks for a glass of water from a waiter,he tells her to go get it herself from the bar. - One bartender for 160 people who was not even at their station for half the time, but missing somewhere These are just some examples, im sure other people at this wedding have similar stories, and to top it off, this place has been open for less then 2 years and has already been closed down for health code violations. At a 3/2010 inspection they got over 90 health code violation points and they are allowed 27 to pass and were closed down!!!! Go and look this up at the NYC health departments web site. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. THE BEST IN QUEENS HANDS DOWN. This place never gives me the fairy tale wedding type of vibe. I mean it is located in the middle of a live neighborhood with no front yard or backyard. It is simply a huge building that looks like a Las Vegas hotel at nights. In addition, there are several points already in this place released by the FDA due to a pesticide (rats and roaches) in the kitchen. Finally, my friends dragged me there on New Year's Eve and not only was it boring and the food was absolutely discusting, but the owner's son was walking around indoors and smoking cigaretts all over the place. Was it so hard to go outside??? That just shows how disrespectful and unprofessional even the owner's family is to this restaurant. Would anyone really want to have their wedding at such an ignorant place??? more

From the second I booked my wedding until the day of, Elite Palace offered nothing but the best of customer service. I had every demand met above and beyond...
