Elite Bridal

I am a wedding planner. We called to make an appointment to try on dresses on a Saturday, but was told they do not accept appointments. So when we arrived, we were unkindly greeted at the door. The woman then bombarded us with questions - and when we told her the upcoming date in July she scoffed and told us they would not be able to order any dress by then but we could look if we wanted to. Then she handed us off to another woman, who handed us off to another. My bride could not even pick out the dresses she wanted because the room was so small and filled with employees. We then had to wait for a dressing room to open up. When one finally did, we were passed on to a third woman - who was very kind. She was a seamstress and helped us a lot, but the woman who greeted us left me, the bride, and the mother of the bride all bitter and hesitant to do any further business with them. more

Ok so I have to give them at least one star and that is ONLY because you have to mark something. I WOULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE stars if I could. The employees were HORRIBLE! I read reviews and saw that a MAJOR number of folks said very bad things but I just thought "well I know as brides we can be a bit picky".....I am just so MAD AT MYSELF for not listening. The service was horrible. I paid $180 for alterations and they had to do 4 of them and EVERYTIME they did not do it right. The day of my wedding I walked down the isle with a very ill fitting dress!!! They got THREE stains, yess three stains on the dress while in their posession and the last one was a PEN MARK! A INK PEN IN BLACK! Then had the nerve to ask me if I wanted it removed. Well since it went down the back of the dress and very visible......YEA! I want it removed! UNVBELIEVABLE! I BEGGGGG you to listen and not make the mistake I did. I was not a bridezilla by any means and very laid back about everything but this store should be ASHAMED of their service and customer manners! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I just wish I would have went to another salon when this all started and just bought another dress and trashed the one I bought from them. Too little too late thos as I didn't. VERY SAD CUSTOMER! more

It was the employees who worked with us that made the difference. We are so glad we used Elite Bridal for the bride and mother gowns. Two of my friends are getting married this summer. I purchase two brides maid dresses from them. One came back dirty with a dark stain on the back. The other was the wrong size. I was measured for both dresses. I talked to the manager and owner Homa Kazemi, who told me I would have to pay for cleaning and alterations. I had to pay an additional $265.00 for both dresses and they didn’t even get the stain out! Pros: NONE!!!! Cons: Worst Experience EVER! more

I really liked the lady who worked with me (Lois, I believe), but was really bothered to hear the other sales lady talk negatively about a bride who had stopped in while I was there. I thought it was a really poor decision to talk that way about a customer in front of another potential customer! At that moment I lost interest in the dress I had on because I knew I would not purchase from them. My sales lady was great, but I couldn't support that store. I'm getting married in June 09 and the staff at Elite have been amazing! My wedding part is from all over (Colorado, Illinois, Ohio) and I have a pregnant bridesmaid. They have worked really hard to accomodate all of these issues and even gave me a great discount! Also, they helped me find the perfect dress for me! I went in thinking I knew exactly what I wanted, they showed me a few like I described but nothing clicked. Then they showed me a few outside my description and I fell in love with one! They really read me well! The service is very personable, every time I go in, they know exactly who I am without having to ask me. I strongly reccomend them to anyone! I got married on November 8, 2008. The wedding was rushed (planned in three months) I got all my bridesmaid dresses from Elite Bridal because I was told they could get them in quickly. First I was told that I could get a six week rush for $30 per dress, but that price was changed two days later to $50 per dress. Then they ordered the dresses too big for half of my bridesmaids, and told us we needed to pay them $50 a dress to fix their mistake. Then they completly screwed up with tailoring of one of the dresses, and I had to argue with them to get them to fix it for free. Not only that, the sales women was very pushy and kept trying to get me to have her wedding just like her daughters, which I told her many times I didn't want to. We went to Elite Bridal when my sister was getting married to look for a bridal gown. It was a Saturday so the shop was fairly busy, but the saleswomen got to us quickly and made us feel right at home. Before we got started they asked for our price range to make sure they didn't grab anything out of our budget, and didnt even hesitate when we gave them a lower number. My sister is very picky and the sales woman worked with her to find something she really liked. Even though my sister found a dress that she was pretty sure was "The One", she wanted to keep looking and the sales woman didnt push her into buying anything, but just told her to keep them in mind and to be aware that the dresses take a while to come in. My sister and I really appreciated the fact that the experience didnt feel like a car dealership, where only the sale matters. We went back and got the dress that was perfect for my sister and when it came in, they did the alterations so that she looked perfect for her big day. My sister got a lot of compliments on her dress and we told everyone where she went to get great service. I will definitely go to them when its my turn to get married because we had such a good experience there. 3 of my closest friends bought dresses while Bluestein's was downtown in 2005. The store in St.Peters I believe is under different management. Downtown my friends had no problem finding great dresses under $700 with great customer service. The ladies made them feel like brides (or a princess). NOT THE CASE in ST. Peters. If you want a high end dress for the price, this is probably the place for you. I scheduled an appointment a the store, when I walked in, all the ladies were busy. When someone did come over I described what I was looking for.... in response to I didn't want to try on a dress more than $900 (because it would break my heart to love a dress I could not afford.) With a look of pity she said "Well, you are really limiting your choices. Less than 10% of the dresses are in that range." Then she stood looking at me....I responded with "well, let's see them then." Ohh, I sure didn't feel like a princess. They expect you to already have your undergarments and acted as if I was such a novice for not knowing. At other stores I previously shopped at, I got see the effect a specific garment had on the look of a dress. I don't know how I would buy an undergarment before my wedding dress? Bottom line... Brides on a Budget, this is probably NOT your place... Maybe I would have been treated better if I was carrying a bigger wallet. more

We have had 3 brides in our family use Elite Bridal. The staff is friendly and always attentive . They catered to the entire bridal party while trying on dresses and doing their fittings. Thier prices may be a little higher than others, but their service is well worth the difference. I would recommend them in a heart-beat! more

I popped in this store looking for a couple bridemaid dresses and a bridal gown for myself I had seen out of town. They were $30-50 more expensive. When I mentioned that they made no offer to work with me on pricing or discounts. I would pay an extra $50 not have to travel out of town if the experience was more luxurious, but the shop was unimpressive in selection and rundown. The owner paid me no attention and I felt on my own when I had to try things on . My sales person was polite, but it wasn't enough to make me go back, even though it's the closest shop to my house. I found dresses in there that were almost up to $100.00 more than other stores in the area. There service there is bride friendly but is the friendlyness worth the price. Pros: Friendy Customer service Cons: VERY pricey!! more
