For all the hooplah with El Taco Real, it's nice to come across a Mexican restaurant with decidedly more flavor to the food. This was my first time eating at Salto, and I was very pleased. They did not have much for hot salsas, as I am guessing that the local clientelle don't have the hot tongues ont he whole. The dishes served to us were the chicken & steak fajitas, chicken buritos and the poblanos. All in all, the dishes were very satisfying. The rice was good that night, the refrieds was better than average, and we definately got our money's worth with enough leftovers to fight off cravings later that night. The decor was very pleasing and contributed to atmosphere greatly. I liked that they had the custom made, wood carved benches and booths.
Pros: Moderately prices, very flavorful food, nice atmosphere
Cons: It would be nice to have a good HOT salsa to serve with the tortilla chips
