I've visited the El Pescador chain of restaurants on numerous occasions. This location is clean, bright and airy with lots of balloons tied to the ends of the booths, lending a festive vibe. There's also a few plasma screens playing Spanish music videos and concerts (everyone from Selena to Los Tigres del Norte) atop the Spanish-style bar. If you're not a local, it's actually sort of kitschy. The service is very friendly and the food is decent. If you like shrimp, then definitely try the sopa de camaron (shrimp soup) as well as the tostada de camaron. And make sure to wash it down with a Jarritos soda (tamarindo flavor). During lunch local business folk fill the seats while evenings are when large groups and families come to enjoy traditional fare like enchiladas, carne asada and on weekends, menudo.
Pros: Clean, festive environs; good food; friendly service
Cons: The refried beans are a bit too refried ;)
