When I first tried El Nopal, I was blown away by the tasty food and by the cheap price. I was getting a good lunch for under $4 with tip! Prices have gone up over the last few years though so while a typical diner will probably spend $6 to $8 for lunch, it is still less than what you might pay at a bigger national chain. Dinner is higher as expected. The other difference is that the food tastes a whole lot better. Better in the way of like home cooking versus the pretentious stuff served at the fancier places offering more style than substance. Keep in mind that the food here is not what the typical American grown up on Taco Bell will feel comfortable with immediately. Might be somewhat of an acquired taste for some. Overall, highly recommended.
