El Mariachi Restaurant

The place is called "El Mariachi." however, I wasn't able to "the mariachi"at all because they sat my family all the way in the back, outside in the patio, even though we had made reservation the day before and we were on top of the guest list. We then get seated and noticed that the tablecloths were dirty and my hair got stuck in one of the chairs (ouch!). After we get situated and ordered drinks (sodas), they brought them in cocktail glasses, which were a tiny portion, whereas it seemed that everyone else had regular glasses and were not being refilled regurlarly. Because it was mother's day, they had 5 options, which is understandable. Food was served late and food portions were served differently to everyone (mostly we all ordered the same plate). And then the waiter brought different plates that we did not order. Food tasted okay. Since we did not see much of the mariachi, from what we heard outside, the quality of the mariachi, as well as of the sound system, was poor. We had the guitarist come out to sing outside to all moms, but we couldn't hear him because he had no microphone and it seemed that he kept laughing and not trying to sing. We then get the check, we got overcharged and had to speak to the manager to get it adjusted. I then went to the restroom and they were dirty and smelly! :( So keep it in mind when you want to bring your family, friends or coworkers... its 25 for adults and 15 for children.... I recently went with a group of coworkers. The Mariachi and alternate band are great. They play great music and get you into the mood of the music. Unfortunately, I can?t say the same for the service and food. Four of us were in one bill. When we got it we were billed $190. After continously adding up everything, it didn?t make since. We knew we didn?t eat or drink much. We notice they had billed us for a drink we didn?t order. The food wasn?t that good for the price we were billed. My boyfriend and I ended up payed $100 between the two and the other couple paid $90. We disputed the bill, but all we got back was the $6.50 for the drink we didn?t order. As a regular customer Im really happy with the service received. Its a family restaurant great for party's of all occations or family get togethers you feel like if you are at home, the food was good, and the mariachi band is great the restaurant brings me back memories of mexico. I will highly recomend. We celebrated my parents 50th aniversary with my family and we all had a good time more

Do not waste you time or money at this place. Service bad, Manager rude, music loud and played way to long. If you are white as we were you will feel out of place as all were mexican. We went for fathers day brunch. Made reservation were told it was unlimited champaine. Go there get our food then we were told one glass per person that you can buy a bottle for $15.00 (Andre market $4.50) Food was nothing to write home about all I can say it was food. Then we get the bill and they tried adding $20.00 (Like we weren't going to notice) Told them and they argued with me finally after awhile it was taken off the bill. BEWARE if you go there. This place looks really cute from the outside but just be aware that this place is where you go to see mariachi bands ... they have a big stage set up inside for the large mariachi band to play ... and it's loud ... when the band plays the food is 2x the regular price ... so not your typical mexican restaurant but a place to watch a very talented mariachi band. more
