My burritos were drowning 5/27/2007

This has to be the worst Mexican food I have ever tasted in an Americanized Mexican eatery. The meat in the burritos had so much water in it that I think the tortilla drowned. It was horrible tasting. Next trip I got Fajitas and the onions and peppers were not even halfway cooked, and the chicken was so overcooked it was tough to chew on. It's a shame since it's location is convenient to me, but I won't be going back any time soon. Recommendation - Travel the few miles up 92 to go to the El Jinete's between Sandy Plains and Mabry instead, as they seem to have some clue on how to cook. more

El Jinete Mexican Restaurant 9/18/2006

This used to be an awesome restaurant. We went today and were completely let down. The chicken tacos were tasteless. The beef tacos were very watery. The salsa was to hot with jalepenos and the mild salsa was cold in temperature. The chicken taco salad was also tasteless. The prices have also gone up. The restaurant is still clean as always. more

A Clean, Easy Eating Atmosphere 10/14/2005

This restaurant is a good place for a quick bite. It is very kid friendly, and the service is very fast. Their salsa has a great taste, as do their tacos! Their meat mixture has onions in it already, and makes for a tastier taco, or nachos. This restaurant offers outdoor as well as indoor seating, and multiple televisions in clear view. more

Great Mexican Food! 8/12/2005

If you want some fantastic Mexican food at really affordable prices then El Jinete is the place to go. You'll get great food, great service, and have a great time as well. The restaurant is family owned and they are so many of the workers are so friendly and provide the quickest most reliable service around. more

Authentic Mexican food, Great atmosphere 8/3/2005

We have been eating at El Jinete since they opened a few years ago. We love it. They have authentic Mexican food, great prices and a good atmosphere. We live in Canton now but still drive past several Mexican restaurants to dine at El Jinete. The food is great and the people are fun to be around. more
