Great Mexican Food 10/22/2009

El Jardin is a great place to eat Mexican food. Their food is affordable, their sevice is decent and their food is good. We like to go and meet our friends there to eat. We have always been treated with respect and the waiters and waitresses know us and remember things about us, like what we like to drink. Go and enjoy them. Pros: Great Mexican Food more

Best 5280 Deal - Great service 3/7/2009

We love 5280 restaurant week....and when our friends took us out to celebrate 5280 at El Jardin we couldn't believe the deal! 4 margs, 4 orders of fajitas, appetizer and dessert? Were you kidding me? This by far and away was the best deal ever...not only was the price unbelieveable, but the food and service was top notch! Pros: Great service - special deals Cons: none at this point more

WORST MEXICAN FOOD I EVER TASTED! 2/16/2009

We tried this restaurant this weeked after hearing it on the radio. WHAT??? You have to be kidding me!The chili and beans tasted like they were out of a can. And the 100% guarantee that our meal is free if we were not satisfied. I would not eat here again if they were giving it away for FREE! Very disappointed with this place. We traveled 8 miles to eat here and for what? We would of had a better meal at Taco Bell. We paid 40 dollars for something that tastes worse then dog meat. Don't let the nice ambience from the outside fool you. You will regret everything the minute you walk in the door. Pros: Outside Cons: Worst Mexican Food more

THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD!! With great deals too! 12/9/2008

My family loves El Jardin. I was reading these posts and PKYPKY doesn't have a clue what he/she is talking about. This is by far the BEST Mexican food in Colorado. We have had nothing but professional customer service and they really care. The specials are good deals with $2 burrito days, and top quality. I own a business and I know you can't make everyone happy, and realize that not every business is perfect. My suggestion to everyone is to try it yourself. This restaurant is wonderful and me, my husband, kids and extended families love it. One of our favorites is the Fajita Burrito supreme...YUMMY! The only bummer is that we have to drive a little bit out of the way to get there, but it is WELL worth it. The parking can be tough on a busy night, but I guess that goes to show you that if they are full, then they must be good! I highly recommend El Jardin! Pros: Excellent Food, Great Taste...love the HOT green chili! Cons: Parking on a busy night. more

Dried up peices of jerky covered in green chile. Want cheese, lettuce, tomoatoes, beans and rices? That'll be $8 extra...WT? 8/21/2008

My husband and I ate at a place called Los Pinos Monday of last week. It was absolutely fantastic. I had the steak and avocado burrito that melted in my mouth. He had a combination of sorts that was equally wonderful. more

Very disappointing. 2/27/2008

The food was average (pretty much the same stuff you find at On the Border, less creative), the margaritas were average (with very few choices), the atmosphere was lacking (I felt like I was in a warehouse). I haven't tried many home-grown places in Denver yet, but I would think there is a better ""Best in Denver"" mexican place than this. If it's near you and you're curious, maybe try it, but it's not worth the drive if you live in central or southern Denver. Considering all the hype, El Jardin was very disappointing. While it wasn't awful, I don't plan to return. The food was very bland, and over priced. I expected great Mexican food based on the reviews but I was disappointed. Still, service was prompt and polite. Pros: Great service Cons: Too much for bland food more

We tried this spot a few months ago after reading the reviews on it here. We waited to get seated while waitresses ran around like crazy. We waited forever to give our order. When it finally came, bland. Bland green chili, cold, mushy food, just not good. Too bad, the ambience is neat and it looks like an authentic place from the outside. I wish I knew that if we didn't like our meal it was free, I think we paid close to $30. Pros: Looks nice as far as the decorations and outside of the restaurant. Cons: Slow service, bland mexican food. more

Wonderful atmosphere; I love the decor, music, and tv channels they choose! They have excellent customer service because everyone checks to see what you need, not just the waitress assigned to you! We are always on the lookout for authentic Mexican food and this place does a great job. I just wish the prices were lower so we could afford to drop by more often! I recommend the Indian tacos!!! BEST mexican restaurant! 7/18/2007

This is by far the BEST mexican restaurant I have ever been to! I have been coming to El Jardin since I was a child with my parents and grandparents and I now take my daughter Jordan.The service is wonderful, you are always greeted with warm homemade chips and salsa, I preffer my chips with lime and they always remember to bring it without me having to ask I LOVE it! when i had my tennis banquet i had to take snack that i thought everyone would enjoy. No doubt in my mind it would be the queso dip. we took four orders and it was devoured. then we had to tell everyone where we had got it from. And we said only the best restaurant around El Jardin! We have beeb eating at El Jardin since it opened. Never have ordered anything that is not good.The waitress have become friends.We walk in they know right away who we are, what we drink and what we like to eat.My brother one time wanted me to meet him downtown for Mexican Food I told him no you come out here I will not take a chance on eating where the food is not good.If you have perfection in food why eat anywhere else. more
