The New Location is Phenominal 4/14/2008

Still the lowest priced meal in Brewster but the new space is FIRST CLASS! I say kudos to the owners and THANK YOU for bringing this to Brewster. They've also added some Burgers and Ribs to the menu (please dont take away any of the Mexican!) and they're always warm and friendly when you go in. I wish there was more seating but I think theyre putting a bunch of picnic tables outside. \r \r Congratulations and I hope all of your old customers find you! more

Finally a good takeout place in Brewster! 1/11/2008

This is my first Citysearch review and I'm writing because I find it absurd that someone would give this place 1-star because of the supposed high price! I just checked their menu and in order for that person to have reached a $45 bill they would have had to have ordered 3 orders of the most expensive specialty tacos and 2 orders of the most expensive burrito on the menu (about $3 more each than the regualr steak burrito) and then add-on guacamole and extra cheese and then pay tax. They ordered the most expensive items on the menu, threw in some extra toppings, and still fed a family of 5 for $45...in take-out starved Brewster...where you're lucky to feed a single person for $45 at the sit down restaurants...and then complain that it is too expensive!?\r \r I eat here just about everytime I visit the in-laws. My wife and I generally spend a little over $15 total including an appetizer (mmm....cheesy-spicy-corn) for dinner. Their burritos are huge and very fresh with good authentic flavors (lot's of lime, lot's of cilantro, etc...). The tacos are excellent and served with the traditional double corn tortilla not the bland flour tortillas most places try to give you. I'm a pretty big eater and I've never been left hungry after eating one of their burritos.\r \r I am a big fan of Mexican food and this place ranks right at the top of my list both on and off the Cape (bigger and better burritos than Anna's...seriously, and the tacos do an adequate job of matching El Pelon...but that is the gold standard). No, they're not as cheap as Anna's or El Pelon but they're still a great value, especially considering the alternatives (or lack of alternatives) in Brewster.\r \r And no, I'm not the owner as some will probably suspect...I just don't want to see this solid Mexican joint, one of Brewster's only good reasonable, takeout options, get unfairly reviewed on Citysearch (a very influential website that can make or break a place). Pros: Quality of food, authenticity of food, price, open year round Cons: Parking can be tough during ice cream season (it is right next to an ice cream stand) more

Great Price Considering ... 10/18/2007

I totally disagree with the earlier post ... considering the food is fresh and pretty hearty (our family of 4 shared an order of tacos, a burrito, 2 appetizer and a side rice and beans) it was the best deal we had all week!!! i think the bill came to about 28$ which is really inexpensive. we were stuffed and we only spent about $7 per person. we also liked the fact that it was takeout ... our kids our somewhat young so its refreshing not to have to worry about a long wait for a table or whether they'll be jittery during dinner. the space is small but i understand they're upgrading to a bigger place down the road. \r ps ... ask for the homemade spicy salsa when you pick up the food. they don't always offer it but it's really fantastic. Pros: price, food Cons: space is limited more

Way Overpriced 9/24/2007

The food isnt that bad, nor that good. It is somewhat authentic, which is nice. But I bought 3 tacos (2 come in an order, but they are small) and two burritos. The total was 45.00 dollars. I understand food on the Cape is expensive and people will pay it. But this is unrealistic. Plus, the service, while good, was slow. The people were polite and the atmospher is clean, but there is no place to eat. It is take-out only. If you have a family, this place is too expensive to feed everyone. Pros: Nice place Cons: Everything else more

Easily the Best Mexican Food on Cape Cod 5/26/2007

i cant believe we stumbled on this quirky taqueria snuggled amidst the general store and a bunch of antique shops. It's pretty hard to miss but this tiny little spot has the BEST mexican ive had in a long time, let alone on cape cod. the decor, the music, and the upbeat staff make it a great expereince. the only down side is that there are only a few stools inside and a few more benches outside. we had the fish tacos (out of this world!) and the street corn (another house specialty) and will definitely be back for years to come!!! Pros: food, service, very affordable family fare Cons: no tables more
