I've been going 'down the shore' all my life, and I know how badly you can get ripped off with some of the hotels - charge a small fortune, never upgrade and some of them are downright filthy. We went to El Coronado last summer and had an outstanding stay. We had a 2 bedroom efficiency that was absolutely perfect - clean and comfortable and right on the gorgeous Wildwood Crest beach. It's a perfect location and one of the few times I've felt I got my money's worth and then some. The pool was sparkling clean and the patio area right on the beach with cabanas was a wonderful spot. We've already reserved for this August and can't wait to go back - I highly recommend it!! more

The service is friendly, the food is pretty good, and the beach is great. For wildwood, the place is VERY good. Its great for families, especially families with teens. I would recomend El Coronado to anyone who isnt looking for an upscale resort, but a great time in a comfortable atmosphere!!! :) more

I have been going to Wildwood for 20 years now and have been set to go in our same old destination. Whaen I couldn't get a room this year I call the El Coronado Motel. I was so suprised at how beautiful our room was, and up to date. The staff was great and made us feel at home. Even down to the cafe, the made us feel like we were part of the family. I can't wait for the summer to go again. What a GREAT SURPRISE!!! more

While we were there, maintenance cleaned, painted, and generally tried to keep the place looking spiffy. Also, our rooms were very clean and comfortable, the food in the cafe was very good, and the front desk was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the bedding could be a bit more plush and comfortable, but all in all, the Coronado is a nice place to stay. more
