Not the best, just ok 4/4/2008

I am a big fan of Mexican food but I don't think this is the best. The food is really greasy and the tacos fall apart by the time you get them home. They do have cheap prices but I don't mind paying a little more to get good mexican food. Pros: Cheap Cons: not very tasty more

Best Burrito! 11/11/2007

El Burrito Jr is a South Bay staple with the best burritos! There is always a ridiculously long line out front, so I recommend phoning in your order to cut down on the wait. Parking can also be a bit of a nightmare, but having one of their burritos is worth the hassle. And they are cheap! Pros: Burrito! Cons: Parking and a wait more

I don't care what you say, this place is amazing! 3/22/2007

LBJ is a staple of South Bay because of its quick service, breezy outdoor eating and great food! I have lived many places and have yet to find a ""cheap eats"" Mexican restaurant that is this good. Everything that I have tried has been fabulous and my husband and I usually call ahead so that our order is ready as soon as we arrive. For a healthy eater such as myself, LBJ is one of the only ""splurge"" foods that is truly worth it. I recommend this place to everyone and to date no one has been disappointed. Pros: great food, the best burrito I've ever had, quick service, call ahead ordering Cons: gets busy around meal times more

Nostalgia must be really important 10/29/2006

I had read and heard that ""LBJ"" was THE place to get burritos in LA. If you love really bland mexican food with lots of grease, then you're in luck. Their burritos are like supersized Del Taco. Lots of lettuce and plain flavorless cheese covered in orange, greasy beef. Pros: cheap Cons: the food more

CHEAP EATS! 5/24/2006

The food is good no matter what you get on the menu! Food is prepared quick, but there's usually a line around dinner time. it's not indoors so if it is raining, bring an umbrella! It's hard to eat outside on the patio because, like most beach cities, it's very breezy and a bit chilly. Pros: Affordable, Delicious, quick Cons: long lines, bad outdoor patio more

Great Taco Stand!!! 5/22/2004

This is you typical GREAT Taco stand! Great food at great prices as is evident on a Friday/Saturday night when theres a line into the street to get it! Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive more

Had Better 11/24/2002

You have way better choices with so many mexican food restaurants around. But it get's good marks for history and nostalgia and that infamous long wait for your food outside on the sidewalk. Pros: Hot food Cons: No inside more

best secret in south bay 8/14/2002

Anyone who's driven by this south bay institution has seen the crowd gathered around the front, with those in the know yelling out seemingly random numbers. it's simply the best mexican food around; huge burritos, the best tostadas-all only a block away from the beach. more

Giant Burritos! 7/31/2002

The best burrito ever. My husband loves the carne asada, while I am partial to the carnitas. Thankfully, they offer their super deluxe burritos (which have everything on them) in junior size. The man who takes the orders at the counter can be somewhat unfriendly and doesn't take very kindly to answering questions when the line is long. But after several visits he recognized me and was a lot nicer! Be sure to call in your order or you'll have a bit of a wait. more

South Bay Landmark! 7/30/2002

When driving on P.C.H. in Redondo Beach, the small mexican food stand El Burrito Jr. cannot be missed. It's the one with people lined up in front of it ANYTIME they are open. You can expect high quality mexican food at very affordable prices. Try the Deluxe burrito, you won't be disappointed! more
