Like most Eggs 'n' Things that I've been to, Simi is always seems busy. But there are downtimes during weekdays, and I recommend calling ahead or just being patient.
My wait time is usually 0-15 minutes any time I go, but I think it's worth the wait. Coffee/starter drinks are usually very fast. Their coffee is some of the best, always fresh. Their menu is pretty heavy, full of breakfast and lunch, eggs, of course, sandwiches, soups, and tasty sides. Great breakfast and lunch choices especially if you're bored with Denny's.
I highly recommend their Florentine omelet and their eggs Benedict. The O'Brien potatoes and biscuits and gravy are worthy too. With nearly every breakfast order you also get a Swedish pancake with lingonberry jam and powdered sugar.
I'm surprised to find a bad review of the staff at the Simi location because I have never had a problem. I will admit that I have waited at the register a few times, but I have always gotten a verbal recognition from someone and I have always been asked how things were, etc.
I lived nearby for 17 years and, now that I moved out of state, this is one place I try to get to every time I go back. I love bringing guests and friends here. It never disappoints.
Pros: Fresh squeezed orange juice, fab coffee, nice people
Cons: busy busy busy
