man was my transmission making some god awful noises before i took it to edwards but now its fixed good as new! matt only had my car for a couple of days and he made sure to keep in touch with me the entire time. it ended up being something called a sun gear, no clue what that is lol but he fixed it and now its good again. the only complaint i have is that they didnt reset my radio after they fixed the car, im not sure if the battery died or they disconnected it but it honestly isnt a major deal. however, i did like the fact that they called me a few days later to get my opinion on how they did which is why im here posting my good experience. thanks edwards. more

Matt and the guys are greenwood are just great! matt is a super professional guy that took care of everything for me and let me tell ya did that make a huge difference! I was a mess whne i brought my car in, I didn't have a lot of money to fix my car but i had to have to back to get to work. not only did matt work with me on the pricing to make sure that i could afford it, he got me a ride to work and had my car ready for me so that i had a reliable car to get to work again! I have never had such great customer service and i will be a lifetime customer thanks to matt and the guys at edwards transmissions in greenwood!!!!! more

Edward’s took care of our problems and we will gladly come back. The issue was more complicated than we thought, but the issue is resolved and Jay at Castleton was very professional and my son is back in his car. I am happy with how this all went. more

I took my car to Edwards in Greenwood and the managers and employees did a fine job. I only had good experiences and didn't have any problems. The car was done on time and at the cost they told me. Didn't know what to expect, but it went well. If I have any other car problems, I’ll go back there without a doubt. Great. more

RIPOFF!! 4/30/2009

They took apart my transmission without telling me. When I called to ask if they have had a chance to just ""look"" at it, he told me that it was taken apart and would be 500.00 to put it back together. I calmly told him there would be a tow truck there that day and I would bring a box and I want every single part from my transmission in that box because it was intact when you got it. They are not nice people. \r \r And then... I am a woman, but Edwards Transmission & Engines took advantage of my husband, which trickled down to me!!! My husband took his car to the Edward's in Greenwood, I think it is on Southport Road.The ""check engine"" light had come on. It was supposed to be a FREE diagnostics check, but when they called us 2 days later, they had removed the transmission, took it apart, checked it,(not replaced, or repaired it), told my husband what the problem was and said that if THEY did not fix it, it would cost him $1,200 (approx.) for them to put it back together and put it back into the car. All of this was done without our knowledge or permission, and nothing was free. And of course HE paid them!!! When we picked up the car, the ""check engine"" light was STILL on and we turned right around and went back. We then got some story about needing to run out a cycle of gas, check to make sure the gas cap was on tight, etc. This did not sit very well with me at all, so I finally HAD to speak up and ask why they did not do the gas cap check when we brought the car in?? I just received a cold stare and the owner kept talking to my husband. I took the car keys and left with the car in the same condition as BEFORE we took it, and AFTER they took our money. Needless to say, we got rid of that car and purchased a new one!!!!!!!!!! \r \r And then.....WOW i thought it was only me. I took mines to the one on Shadeland and they really did me in.They kept my car for three whole weeks,and everyday after that.I gave them a whopping 2700 hundred dollars and i was NOT happy.Everyday i had to take my car up to them because my check engine light was on constantly.I was out of a car for a total of 6 or 7 weeks.They eventually told me to unhook my radio because that was my proplem. And i thought they was crazy. Until i took my car to stereo advantage and they thought i was crazy,but i insisted on them unhooking it.And they did and guess what???? my check engine light went off no more problems afterv that BUT they still took my money....Please i advise whoever please do not go to them. Cons: read on! more
