A wonderful establishment. Since they have moved to a bigger location its like a Used book superstore! You can find almost any book there and you are greeted with a warm welcome from attentive staff. I love you Ed McKay you save me a lot of money especially on textbooks. Oh i forgot to add thanks for the free book section as well. Awesome Job!! more

Heaven for Book Lovers 3/16/2006

You can't help but feel at home when you enter McKay's Used Book Store. The staff greets everyone with a warm "HELLO!" The book selection is wonderful. Prices are superb! They even have an amazing --- in selection and price --- children's section! Other used book stores usually have no children's section or a tiny children's section. Not so at McKay's. The selection of children's books is wonderful! My 4 year old always manages to find a stack of books -- everything from fiction to easy readers to chapter books to fact. Trading your books is quite easy and the credit you receive is very reasonable (sometimes it is evey quite generous!). I am always amazed at how knowledgeable the staff is regarding book genre and titles. (Mainly b/c all my questions usually center around children's books.) The only negative is parking -- but that doesn't keep me away. I'd rather park in the strip mall next door and walk to McKay's then decide not to visit there. Book lovers will find their piece of heaven at McKay's. more

Books! 9/24/2005

Ok, anyone that knows me is sure to know that I am not what you would call a huge reader. But, my sister did happen to get me addicted to the Shopoholic series though, so I have been dropping in some. The series is terrific and the prices at Ed McKay are more my speed. They have some terrific chick lit books, learn to read Spanish (which I have been meaning to do), DVDs, CDs and tons more. They even have a FREE book section! more

Used Book Store 8/18/2005

Ed McKay Used Books is the place to take all your second hand books. I was selling my books at yard sales for approximately .50 cents each until a friend told me about this store. Now I take everything there first. You have a couple of options when you take stuff in. You can get a store credit (which is the better way to go if you plan to buy anything because they give you a higher value for your items) or you can just get cash. The downside to this store is the parking. I can’t think of a worse place to park. Your better off to park up or down the street and walk up on a busy day. Its even worse on the days that the sporting goods store next to them has something going on. Anyway besides the parking I think you will be very happy with this store. They have a large selection of used books, dvd’s, videos, computer game, play station games etc. more
