Here is the real story. Sherry L.- 1/30/2013

Here is the real story. Sherry L.- Sherry's mom called me and asked for my help, because some State Farm broker from AZ called her mom Sherry's Grandma, who is 80yrs old and lives in Iowa and tells her to sell all her investments without knowing what she owned or the cost basis and for her to write him a check for 1.9mill. I spoke with the grandmother and told her that it appeared the broker was trying to avoid a paper trail. She owned around 500k of outstanding bonds paying her 6-7%!!! what broker in their right mind would ever tell anyone to sell those? So grandmother opened an account. I told her if she needed any of it I could wire it to her bank. I didn't know she would be requesting all the money with in the next two days. When a large amount of money comes in and then leaves in that short amount of time, a red flag goes off at our home office as possible money laundering. I told the home office to wire the money as soon as they could. When sherry L and her broker called my office asking for the money to be transferred I couldn't get a word in. Sherry was trying to bully me. I asked the name of the firm we were transferring to, long pause, Um State Farm. I asked to speak to the broker. I asked the broker his name and he refused to give it to me. If everything is on the up and up why wouldn't you tell me your name. Then Sherry starts talking again. Well we just want that taken care of today! I said I'd start working on it and thought the conversation was over and hung up. Now this 80yr old woman will have to write a check for around 90k in taxes for capital Gaines and the State Farm guy slammed her into an annuity! Where the commission is 8% do the math the State Farm broker made around 152,000 in commission. Our profession gets a bad name from people who take advantage of the elderly. I was asked to help a friends mother and this is what I get. Please look into my background. I've fought it 2 different wars in the Army, I was named one of the top ten teachers in Florida in 2000. I taught in the inner city for 12yrs. I'm a mason, Shriner, I'm volunteer fireman, rotary,Kiwanis, I give a lot of my time to help others. Sherry was never even a client, her grandmother was for about two days. That's what upsets me about these types of sites. Any idiot can get here and say whatever they want without telling the whole story or truth!!! more

Bob Espy is THE most unprofessional investor/broker I have ever dealt with. He told us that we would have access to the money whenever we wanted. When we decided to go with a better investor, instead of putting his best foot forward he made himself look like a fool by yelling on the telephone and hanging up. You would think a ""professional"" would at least call back and apologize after he cooled down.... no apology letter or phone call. Then it took a week for the money to transfer to the bank account that was set up for ""instant"" transfer when we opened the account with him. He has a crooked past, its public record... I wouldn't leave a penny with this man. more
