Ed's Custom Bakery

I have been a loyal customer of Ed's Bakery since 1999 and have never, ever been disappointed! All our birthday cakes come from Ed's. Their designers are super talented, so you get something cute that tastes good, too. Recently we asked for a birthday cake with a "thumbs up" design on it to tease my husband about a minor mishap he had with his table saw. The design was awesome and my husband had a good laugh. The cookies are wonderful, too, and the peanut butter cups???? Out of this world! more

This place is by far the worst bakery I have ever been to. I am convinced Ed is in the back only making the good stuff for a select few, otherwise I do not understand how anyone can eat this stuff, much less call it good. I too have thrown way two cakes that the kids would not even eat. People come from all over the county for Toad Suck not for Ed?s ? I am assuming the poor people wonder in there aimlessly and figure a small town bakery must have good stuff. As far as the ?only bakery that honors the Razorbacks? !?! Don?t kid you self! I have seen these cookies all over the state and even actual Razorback cakes, all of which taste much better. Someone tell Ed to retrain his bakers, they are killing his business!\r \r Also the prices are not that great, I really do not think it is correct to compare yourself against top notch bakeries. You can get much better quality for the money at Wal-Mart which is sad. more

This is an amazing bakery! My family and friends order all of our cakes from Ed's. They have moist, delicious cakes that have just the right amount of sweetness. Their cookies are a big crowd-pleaser at any party or event. more

I stopped by to buy some halloween goodies for a party. My grandson picked out a halloween cake which looked delicious. This was the worst cake I have ever tried to eat. The entire cake went in the trash, what a waste of twenty something dollars. The kids would'nt even eat it. Save yourself the time and MONEY, find another bakery or stick with wal-mart cakes. more

We went for a halloween cake this year. I paid over 20.00 for this cake. It was not even edibile. It tasted like someone just poured sugar on top of a cake. The entire cake went in the trash. What a waste. I will stick with walmart cakes from now on. more

I work at Ed's Bakery and I can say this: With everything we offer at the prices we sell, it's the best bakery in the NATION. We have people come from all over the nation to taste our goods, especially during such events as ToadSuck Daze. Ed showed me where our prices should be, according to the national average and honestly, we trump them. We sell for half that, even less.\r \r Not to mention, we're the only people in the state that offer Razorback cookies to honor Razorback football... but in that case, that would make us the only ones in the nation.\r \r As far as cakes go, we have some of the best artists working on your cakes, bar none. Some of these "beautiful" cakes I see in the movies aren't NOTHING compared to what we put out.\r \r We have been featured on television, the former governor's own chef using our stuff to his means. The best bakery in Conway! It offers a wide selection of cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls, and other treats. My favorite sweet are the smiley face cookies. They're delicious. The prices are rather low. Their hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., making it a great place to stop in for breakfast for coffee and a pastry. more

My fiance and I went in to look at wedding cakes. I called them a few days before I came since it was a 40 minute drive for us. I was told that they would need me to come in and look at the books they have there so I could show them an idea of what I wanted. The girls behind the counter were nice and we went to look at their books. An older lady came over and was EXTREMELY rude. Rude is an understatement of how she treated us. The final straw was when she rudely said ""Well then, Do you want ME to pick out the wedding cake for you"" and we left. She belittled us the whole time and was very condesending. She didn't answer any of the questions we had. I will never recommend this bakery to ANYONE for anything. There is no excuse for treating anyone the way we were treated. We had a pleasant experience until she came out, but she gave the entire business a terrible reputation in our eyes. My advice is to go elsewhere, where people treat you like they want your business. more
