This was the first time that I have used Ed's Auto Service. I was having car trouble, but I didn't know what the issue was. I took the car to the dealer five times, but they couldn't find the issue either. As a last resort I went to Ed's on a referral. They troubleshooted the car and within two days they found the issue and it was resolved. They kept me updated the entire time, and were very professional. The prices were reasonable, and the business honest. I haven't had any issues with my car since I took it in to their shop. I would use them again. more

I took my car to Ed's Auto Svc, and they were so nice! They explained what was wrong and gave me an estimate, which wasn't high at all. Some cables had to be replaced, and they thought it would take at least four hours, but it only took an hour. more

I have a Porsche and the company itself couldn't figure out their own product. I took my car to Ed's Auto Svc. and he instantly diagnosed and fixed the product. The Porsche company would have charged me thousands of dollars and that was incorrect. On the other hand, everything turned out great with Ed's Auto Svc. My only complaint would be is they should be more clear about how much the work will cost in the beginning because it was very vague. RESPONSE FROM Ed's Auto Svc: The only response I have is that this was an odd case and we weren't sure where the end costs would take us. Most of the time, We are clear on where the costs will end up and most of the time come out lower than the quote. I am very glad you are happy with our work. Bill more

I was very pleased with Ed's Auto Service. They were creative and very efficient in identifying my motor and exhaust problems and together, we found the parts for repair of a 1966 Chrysler 318 Industrial engine on my Wayne Chipper. I was especially pleased with the fact that the job was done correctly the first time, the issues were all familiar to the staff and their pricing was very fair. I've been going to Ed's Auto Service for almost twenty years now, and for good reason. They're honest, and they don't try to do more work if it isn't needed. If anything is not satisfactory, they will fix their work. Their prices are reasonable, too. They're not cheap, but you usually don't mind paying for someone that you're getting quality work from. They do a great job, and I would highly recommend them. more

After 2 very bad experiences with mechanics I was almost ready to give up on trusting a mechanic again until I found out about eds auto service Surfing the net and after reading all the positive feedback I decided to give them a call. After about 20 minutes on the phone with bill (very professional & knowledgeable ) I decided to give them a shot. Finally I made the right decision on choosing the right auto shop. I was very happy and grateful for the great job they did on my truck. Bill is great , he kept me updated on everything and even after I got my truck back he ( Bill ) called me 3 days later to do a follow up. I had a couple regular services done on my car by Ed's Auto Svc, as well as two repairs. They are very fair with their prices and give great discounts. more

The number one good thing about Ed's Auto Svc is that they always remember me whenever I call them. That makes me feel special! I was referred to them by a friend with the same type of car as me. Whenever I make an appointment they get me right in without hesitation. One time I called them on a Monday and made an appointment for the following Wednesday. But my car was really acting up and I wanted to bring it in sooner for safety reasons. I called them and they were able to take it in sooner than Wednesday! They really make me feel comfortable. They are reliable and they keep me updated with all the work they do. They also give me tips on how to keep my car in better shape. That shows me that they don't work only for money. They care about their customers and I am happy with them. more

I have had 2 experiences with Ed's. My girlfriend's A/C went out about 4 years ago and everybody told her she needed a new compressor, condenser, evaporator, and whatever else they thought they could charge her for. These people analyzed the problem and repaired compressor O-rings and total bill was under $75 as opposed to $100's. This mechanic Bill is not a parts changer he really knows how to fix components. A/C still blows ice cold today. Fast forward to now. 07 Chevy Silverado with check engine code of 894 which says transmission slipping. First "mechanic" said rebuild it for $2200 to $2500. This set off alarms because his remedy was so quick without checking any of the options that I saw on internet. Took to Ed's and he took the time to explain with newer trans the recommended service interval is 100,000 miles. He explained that that was like opening a can of worms whereas the new fluid stirs up the flotsam and jetsam that is already in the trans. We used a treatment that is recommended by all major manufacturers and my bill was under $100. I realize that this is not a new trans but this is a win win solution to my problem. If trans acts up again then we go further. I am very leery of mechanics in general, but Bill, the proprietor, put me at ease and has gained my trust. LOVE THIS PLACE! more
