Can I give them zero stars?
It appears Eddie Z's is all about the sale. The up front sales, order and install was great. 4 years later after having issues with my motorized blinds I called for service. February 27, 2012: The installation tech was courteous and informed me the blinds needed to be reset and reprogrammed. He took all three blinds for that window and the controller indicating they would be in touch. No one ever called to provide status. After checking with Craig (Brookfield store service rep) I was told they were expecting parts by 3/23. On 3/30 I called Craig again to inquire on status. He promised to return the call... no call. 5/7 I called again and left a message. Craig never returned the call, the installer did to say he would be by on 5/9 to install. 5/9: Installer arrives by himself. My blinds are mounted 12 above the floor behind a large cornus. He was unable to install the blind by himself. I needed to assist in removing the cornus using my own ladder so the install could be complete. After exercising the blind a few times it failed again. The installer took the blind with him to repair once more. 5/14 I called Craig once again. He reports the blind should be in on 5/18. I request that he call if there are any status changes and confirm that they will send two techs this time. I am no longer able to assist due to surgery on 5/10. No call from Craig. 5/21 I call again, Craig is on vacation. The woman (I didn't get a name) indicated she would look into it and call me back. Today as of 6:35 PM I have not received a call from the woman, Craig or the installer. Did I mention that while the blinds are being repaired they were either all missing or I was unable to operate them because the tech needed the controller to program them. Needless to say I am NOT satisfied. Regardless of price, features, spiffs, etc. I will NEVER purchase from Eddie Z's again. The lack of follow up and communication is inexcusable. Eddie Z's I rate you zero stars for service.
