Absolutely TERRIBLE! I went to try their cardio kickboxing class and they told me I had 60 days to try it out, and if I didn't like it, that I would recieve all my money back. So,...

Nashville MMA - MANY positives and 1 negative. 6/14/2011

Let's get the negative out of the way so we can focus on so much positive that Nashville MMA has to offer. The A/C needs repairing as it is very hot in the hot summer months...Ok, the problem has now been noted and can be rectified, but lets be honest...this is a gym and not a country club. Now to the positives: My son has been taking martial arts there for about a year and I am very impressed at the level he is at. He had been taking for around 6 months and doing very well, so well that we had him do a tournament called NAGA (North American Grappling Association). We did the US Nationals in Atlanta and my son took first place in his division. Not only did he beat 3 other people, the instruction he received from Nashville MMA was at a different level then the other competitors...The same thing happened with another student from Nashville MMA that went to the North Carolina NAGA event. They just were not ready for the level of competition that Nashville MMA had to offer. I will always recommend Nashville MMA. I have nothing but great things to say about the instructors. Please do not listen to second hand negative remarks. Come down talk with Josh and get a private lesson. He is a great representative to give you a tour and show you what they have to offer. more

The best in the state 5/24/2011

Nashville MMA is by far the best MMA school in TN. The instructors are the best and they have some of the best fighters in the world. I highly suggest checking this gym out! more

Simply the best 5/16/2011

There's so many MMA posers in this area. The reality is they try to copy Nashville MMA. Nashville MMA is by far the best facility with the best instructors with the best fighters. I have my child in their kids program and he loves it. more

Cardio bootcamp is great 5/9/2011

I love the cardio kickboxing bootcamp! Great instructors and a great staff. Carolyn is amazing! 5 stars!! more

I tried them all 5/1/2011

There's a few so called MMA gyms in Nashville. They all talked bad about Nashville MMA. Then I went to Nashville MMA an I realized why... they are WAY better than anywhere else. It's not even comparable. Nashville MMA has a ton of mat space and a HUGE facility. Plus there instructors are BY FAR the best! more

The best MMA training in Nashville 4/23/2011

Shawn Hammonds is an amazingly cool BJJ coach that is super detail oriented. This is the only school I know in Nashville that is run like a professional business. Their track record with their fighters is impressive too. Ed Clay is a serious guy that trains his fighters as well as anyone in the country. I love Nashvillle MMA! more

Amazing Facility and Instructors 4/13/2011

This place is crazy big. I've been to different MMA gyms but never anything like this. When you walk in there's a huge UFC size cage to the right, and mats all around. There had to be 100 students, but there were plenty of instructors to handle it. When I stepped into the cage to start my free trial, I was a bit nervous. But the instructor Bryan made me feel welcome and helped me out so I wasn't lost. I expected a lot of bad ass attitudes but the students were all very laid back. I recommend this to anyone thinking about learning MMA. more

Excellent training 2/15/2011

The MMA class is amazing. The instructors are patient, the students are helpful, and I get to learn to defend myself without feeling out of place. more

DONT DO IT 1/3/2011

Absolutely TERRIBLE! I went to try their cardio kickboxing class and they told me I had 60 days to try it out, and if I didn't like it, that I would recieve all my money back. So, I signed the contract the first day and we reviewed it. Two weeks later, I had some major money issues come up and realized that I couldn't afford the class per month (which was $100, some go up to $130 depending on the time you sign your contract). He told me that I would have to pay $196 to void my contract! I said ""what about the guarantee?"" And he informed me that I would have to take atleast 2 classes a week for 60 days to get that guarantee! And I was NOT INFORMED of this during the signing of my contract!!!!! They just said I had 60 days to try it out and they would refund my money if I wasn't happy with it. THEY RIPPED ME OFF AND WERE VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ABOUT THE WHOLE SITUATION! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE--THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY! more
