Sensitive Items Handled Good 5/21/2012

I decided that I had enough of Miami, and was moving to Brooklyn with my sister. Between her boxes of clothes, and my boxes of video games, and my precious gaming consoles, we had a pretty heavy load. Eco gave me a good price in the crating of all my video game consoles, so I went with them. On the day of the move I watched like a hawk while they packed my consoles, and they did a great job because nothing was damaged. I even kept the packing materials because I figure it could come in handy. I've moved a bunch of times, and moving with eco vanlines was definitely the smoothest move I have had so far. more

Great Household Move 5/17/2012

I lived in Georgia my whole life, but jumped on the first prospect of moving out west. My job was relocating me, and I thought it would be a good idea to relocate the whole family to California. My wife was worried about the expense, and she suggested that we just do the move ourselves, but when we factored in the cost of gas, money and hotels on the road we realized going with a mover would be cheaper. Soul from Eco Van Lines gave us a great price, and we had the opportunity to update inventory up until a day before the move, which was important since we were getting rid of some things. The movers worked quickly, and loaded everything with obvious care. You could tell they had been doing this for a long time. Back in California we got the items and nothing was damaged which in the end of the day is the most important thing. more

Full Service Is the Way To Go 5/16/2012

Moving cross country is never easy. My husband wanted us to do the move ourselves with a uHaul, but after I spoke to Sam from eco vanlines, I knew that going with a full service moving company would be more cost effective, and easier. He talked me through the calculations and showed that his price, which is inclusive of taxes, is actually hundreds of dollars cheaper than what we would have to spend on gas, food, and board along the way. Plus less work for us! My husband was impressed with eco's service, and said he doesn't ever want to do a ""do it myself"" move again. Which I'm just fine with! more

Double Move 5/14/2012

I was moving my family, and my parents living down the block, to Colorado. Eco was able to pick up from both locations for free, and charged only a small fee to deliver my parents 22 miles away. Our representative Joe was patient with both me, and my parents as we went through the inventory list with her, and updated things as we went along. The move went very smoothly, and they delivered all of the items pretty fast. We were worried that they would mix up our items and deliver to the wrong houses, but I was impressed to see that everything was well organized and there wasn't any mix up at all! more

Small Move Awesome Price 5/11/2012

I had a pretty small move going to DC, since I was moving into a house that was mostly furnished. I toyed with the idea of renting a truck, but decided against it because of my horrible driving skills, and laziness. Luckily eco was able to get me a great price for the move, and they also packed my flat screen television for free! It was a pretty easy move, nothing too special. Everything was very straightforward, which I appreciated, because I didn't really feel like dealing with anything too complicated. more

Good Solution 5/8/2012

What I liked most about eco vanlines is that they had main branches near where I was moving from, and where I was moving to. I was moving my four bedroom home, so I knew it wouldn't be a cheap move, also with all of the boxes of books that we had. Eco really gave us an affordable price, and even crated our china cabinet for free! The movers did a great job, and nothing was damaged. There wasn't any stress on the day of the move, because the price agreed upon was the price we ended up paying. All in all it was a good experience for a fair price, and I will definitely be using eco van lines for future relocations. more

Eco and Honest 5/7/2012

My roommate is a nature freak, so when we moved to Florida she wanted to make sure that we moved in the move eco friendly way. She booked with Eco on the first call, saying that her representative Sonya made her feel at ease. I was a bit more wary, but then I saw their reviews online and their history with the department of transportation and I knew I was dealing with a legitimate company. Eco friendly? I don't know. Good, honest movers? Definitely. more

Job Relocation 5/4/2012

My job was relocating me, and they were also paying for the move, but they wanted to make sure that the quote would be binding and that they wouldn't have any surprises. I gave them my top choices, and in the end they chose Eco Van Lines. I called my representative, Sonya, and we went through a final inventory list. The price quoted was the price the company paid on the day of the move, and everything went quite smoothly. I would definitely use Eco again; I was impressed by their professionalism more

Last Minute No Problem 5/2/2012

I had contracted with a different moving company who ended up being a broker, and didn't even show up on the day of the move! I had to get out of the house; my lease was up, and I had a flight the next day. I called up Eco, attracted to the name. They had availability for my move, and my rep Lorna, stayed on the phone with me for hours to make sure my quote would be as accurate as possible. They showed up 5 hours later, with the inventory list in hand, and started loading everything on the truck. When they told me my price I let out a sigh of relief; I didn't pay a penny more than what was quoted me originally earlier that day. The delivery was as fast as can be expected with such a long distance. more

Long Distance, Small Price 4/27/2012

I had moved plenty of times before, but always local moves; the furthest I ever moved was 100 miles. I always used local movers, you know, the ones that you hire by the hour. I wanted the same kind of local feel with this move, but the problem is that I'm moving cross-country. What I liked best about Eco-Van Lines is that they had a local branch right next to me in Atlanta, with the added bonus of a binding quote set ahead of time so that I knew well in advance what I would be paying for the move. The items also got to Cali surprisingly fast! more

Great Company 4/25/2012

I was moving to Louisiana for a job, and I was not excited about it. I called Jersey my home for five years, and I wasn't too pleased about leaving, but duty calls! At least the company was paying. I didn't get to chose the company, but I was so happy that my company chose Eco. They made the move as stress free as possible. They called me a day before the scheduled move to confirm the hour that they would be arriving, they got there, packed and loaded everything away. They assured me that the payment was already taken care of, and not to worry about a thing. They impressed me so much that I decided to tip them; at first they politely refused the tip, but I insisted! If in the future I move, and get to chose the company moving me, I will definitely chose Eco-Van Lines again. more

Free Storage! 4/23/2012

I was sick of the sticky, hot weather of Florida, ready to brave the cold. I wanted out of my apartment by the first of March, and was planning on taking a trip to Greenland, and then moving into my new place at the beginning of April. Eco Van Lines offered me the perfect solution; they gave me 35 days of free storage, including the re-delivery of the items to my new place! It was so headache free, they got there on the day of the move, took my stuff, and I flew out. I didn't have to worry about it, until I got back, and my items arrived a couple of days after! more

Great experience! 4/20/2012

The wife convinced me that it would be a good idea to relocate to Michigan to be closer to our son who was studying there. We decided to move into a rented, furnished apartment, but still had many boxes to ship. Eco-Van Lines gave me a fantastic price, and their service was good. Diva Move 4/16/2012

My wife was moving from the big city, Chicago, to the suburbs of Atlanta to be with me. She didn't have any furniture to move, since I had already taken care of furnishing our new home, but oh lordy does she have clothes, which equals many many boxes! Eco was able to give me a fantastic price, and she didn't have to even lift a finger, which was important for my diva! My sales rep, Lorna, even recommended that she put her clothes in those vac pac bags, to save space. That cut her box usage by half, which meant the final quote was half the price! more

Polite and Professional 4/12/2012

I was moving to Oregon to be closer to my son, who had moved out there to start a family. I was nervous about moving so far away, and dreading the cold weather! As a token of gratitude, my son decided to pay for the move himself. He spoke with the moving companies, and set everything up for me. When Eco Van Lines arrived at the house, I knew my son had made the right choice. They handled all my items with care, and were very courteous. I felt bad watching them haul all of my heavy furniture, so I made them a pitcher of my home blended sweet tea, and they were very appreciative. All in all, it was a positive experience. more

Great Alaska Move 4/10/2012

I was moving from sunny Florida to Alaska for a research project my laboratory was doing. Most people recommended that I throw away my furniture, since the price of moving to Alaska is dear. But I had too many valuables and antiques that I didn't want to part with, and Eco Van Lines was able to provide me with an affordable price. All in all it was the best choice; my items were well taken care of, and delivered within a reasonable time frame. Now if only I could get used to this cold... more

Eco Van Lines delivered all that they promised. I went with them because their contract seemed the most straightforward. There was no small print; literally, the whole contract was written in a clear, concise way, and I didn't need to use my glasses to read it! As expected, on the day of the move the price remained the same, to the cent, and they delivered earlier than I expected. more

Job Relocation 4/2/2012

I had to report to my new job in Pennsylvania in the beginning of the month, but my lease in Florida was up at the 1st of the previous month. I was stressing about this situation, thinking about the extra fees I'd need for storage and such. Eco Van Lines was able to come up with the perfect solution for me; they were able to store my items for up to thirty five days at no extra charge, although I only needed about 15 days or so, and they were fine with that. The best part was that the re-delivery was also included in the price! I didn't have much, and the price reflected that, which was important since the company was not paying for the move. more

Fragile Move Perfect 3/30/2012

My kids often say that our house is like a museum, and they aren't kidding. I'm a professional glass blower, and our house is filled with large, hand blown pieces. I of course have tons of experience packing these delicate items appropriately, but with such a large distance I didn't trust myself to do the packing. Plus, Eco Van Lines was able to provide me with a price per item for packing that beat the expense of buying the packing material and doing it myself. Of course I wouldn't trust just anyone to pack these priceless works of art; I researched every company I spoke to, and what impressed me about Eco Van Lines is their impeccable history with the Department of Transportation, which I was told was the best place to check, since the DOT is actually a federal body. Needless to say, everything turned out perfect, and everything arrived in one piece. more

Moving Made Simple! 3/28/2012

I do realize that moving can be stressful, but I had a very easy experience with Eco Vanlines. I was just desperate to get my items out of a storage container where I went to school, and I was tired of trying to bribe my friends to haul the stuff for me. Basically, I shopped around with total flexibility. It didn't much matter when they picked it up, as long as they could get it to me in some reasonable time frame. On all accounts, Eco Vanlines was the way to go. I got everything much faster than I had imagined, and because the items were still under the minimum weight, there wasn't a change in the overall price. more
