This place is fine if you have a lot of money and a healthy pet. If you struggle financially and have a sick pet, this is not the place for you. I am very disturbed by what I encountered when I brought my cat in. She was fine one minute and not the next. They had just seen her for her annual checkup 2 weeks earlier and all was fine. Of course, my reg vet wasnt there, the vet who saw her 2 weeks earlier wasnt there, so I get someone new to deal with. I have a 300 dollar bill, the cat was put to sleep, and I still dont know what happened to her. Asking questions was useless. \r

What really bothered me was not being able to hold my cat in my arms as she was put to sleep. They took out the bench type tables and replaced them with something that is barely 18 inches wide. Me, the cat, the vet, and the tech trying to do our thing in 18 inches. \r

It was the worst vet experience, worst loss of an animal experience I have ever had to deal with..\r

And, they arranged a cremation for me. What I got back was not ashes but a bag of bone fragments. I have never, ever had that happen.\r

Pleasant Bay Animal Hospital is a much better, kinder, gentler, and caring place.\r
