WE DO NOT RECOMMEND East Towne Vet Clinic to others. The priority of this clinic is money. We have used vets for over 40 years for cats and dogs and never had any clinic come close to charging what this clinic charges. Due to a couple of emergencies with our pets past few years we did use this vet although we had been told by many professionals that this vet has ridiculously high fees for their services. They repeatedly trippled the cost of basic medication and balked at writing the prescriptions for our pets so we could fill them where pet meds are offered at reasonable prices. WE WERE SHOCKED AT THE HIGH PRICES EVEN THOUGH WE HAD SEEN OTHER POOR REVIEWS WITH RESPECT TO THEIR HIGH COSTS. Such a horrible experience with Dr. Tunder , we have heard bad things about this vet but unfortunately went ahead after a simple emergency with our cat and later when our puppy was ill. What people say is very true, this clinic is mostly concerned with making money. more

We've been going here for years and can't imagine going to another vet. Our pets have seen all the doctor's at East Towne, and like each one of them. The kisses and tail wagging they give the doctors and staff says it all. Dr. Tunder really helped me when we lost our 4 year old Great Dane to bloat. He performed an autopsy so that we could know for sure what happened and was incredibly compassionate. I also like how there is no pressure on health care and, yet, they are always very informative about the options. more

Our family loves East Towne! Dr. Tunder has been our vet for the last 15+ years and you won't find a more knowledgable, caring and compassionate pet doctor. We've lost a cat in the last year, and gained two more through their kind and caring staff. We even have a cat with a pacemaker, who wouldn't still be with us if not for Dr. Tunder's expert exam & diagnosis! He's our miracle cat and we can't thank East Towne enough. They all truly seem to love our cats and that really means a lot! We wouldn't take our pets anywhere else!! more

We love East Towne!!! My puppy has seen Dr. Judy and Dr. Kelly and they are both phenomenal! Both vets take their time during visits (and are on time), and their availability is wide open. They are very thorough in explaining their exams of my dog and different procedures being done (as this is my first pet). I couldn't imagine taking my pup anywhere else but East Towne! more

I recently brought my brand new puppy 4/23/2012

I recently brought my brand new puppy to your facility for a check up which I had been referred to by the Humane Society. I was told when I made the appointment to bring a feces sample which would be tested for parasites. During the appointment the vet had said that she was giving me free samples of different products. At the end of the appointment she had told me that I would get a phonecall by Saturday if anything came back from the feces. When I was being checked out I figured there would be no charge between the free samples I was getting and the voucher for a free checkup from the Humane Society. When I was told the charge for the appointment was $56.00 I was a little frustrated, but I just let it go because I had been happy with the way my puppy was treated. more

I called for an appointment for my bird 3/16/2012

I called for an appointment for my bird to have a physical and blood work. I even received a phone call the day before my appointment reminding me of our physical appointment including bloodwork. The day of my appointment I receive a phone call stating they don't do bird blood work. How can you be listed as an avian vet if you don't do avian blood work? How can the receptionists not know what the vets do or don't do? more

Caring and professional 3/23/2011

During the 30+ years that East Towne has been serving our community, their staff has treated 16 of the dogs I've adopted and a few foster dogs, too. Dr. Tunder is the most knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate veterinarian I could ever imagine. He is always aware of the latest protocols and treatment options and clearly and completely explains all procedures. He's always willing to answer any questions or concerns. The rest of the staff is incomparable as well. Every time I put one of my precious dogs into their hands, I am confident that they will provide the most professional and loving care possible. East Towne is a wonderful facility for anyone who wants the very best care for his or her pets. more

warm place but not carring 5/18/2010

Be careful Dr. Death works there. She wanted to euthanize my sick cat instead of treating him. I purchased plenty of vitamins on internet and helped my dear Angel to recover. more

Don't judge a place by one review 3/31/2010

WOW..I wasn't sure based on the review that was listed however East Towne came highly recommended by multiple people so I decided to try them out...and I am sure glad I did. The clinic is very open with lots of natural lighting. I was welcomed with big smiles and they were very excited to see my puppy. The Dr even introduced me to one of the groomers. I felt like I was one of the family totally opposite of the first review on this site..kinda makes you wonder if that was a real post by an actual client because I have been to East Towne at least 3 times now and every time it's a great experience. I price shopped them and compared their price to other clinics in the area and they are very competitive. Oh also they have 2 of the cutest clinic cats running around the lobby eager to greet you I'm not a cat person but did they ever melt my heart. If you are looking for the best vet car for your pet I think East Townes the place! Pros: Great staff and vets they also offer boarding and grooming Cons: Can't think of any more

Not A Warm Place 10/20/2009

The staff was reasonably nice. The place was clean. However, it just didn't give me a comfortable feeling. It just felt like I was another visitor with my pet. The rest of the experience was okay. I guess I'm looking for someplace where I can feel special with my pet. Pros: They're Right in Mequon Cons: The place felt a little cold. more
