East Lake Amoco Car Wash

Went to this car wash for the first time today. It is under new management so I thought I would give it another chance. I left a $1 bill under some papers in the front cubby. After the wash, which was not good by the way…loads of missed dirt and not dried well, I got in my car. The dollar bill was gone and my center console had been rifled through…fortunately nothing missing there. I went to the manager who refunded my wash as well as the $1 but he was more upset about a possible reputation problem than the fact that he has dishonest employees. Steer clear of this car wash…new management…same problems! more

DON'T DO IT! I have attempted to get multiple express and full details from here; as have two of my friends and my neighbor next door. These guys are WAAAAAY over priced and they do an incredibly mediocre job. My vehicles come back with streaks, spots, wax rubbed over onto plastic, etc. They seem to have an attention to detail deficit problem. This place is fine for a basic wash (dodge all the bronze, silver and gold nonsense). Anything beyond that and you might as well be throwing money a more

As convenient as the location is, this place is soooo not worth it. I have never left satisfied except maybe if I get a regular wash with a coupon, but even then my windows are so smeary I cant see through them :(\r The detailing is hideously over priced and the work done is deplorable. My car has actually come back looking and smelling worse than when it went in ! more

Run. Run away fast. We have 3 cars which we took religiously for oil changes and washes there for the entire time they were in buisness. They were formally Pelican Car Wash before changing ownership to East Lake Car Wash. Please note, they are independent of the Rally (now) gas station attached. Since the change of management, they have stripped the threads on the oil pan of one car, tried to sell us new wipers that were replaced the week before as ""worn out"" and lastly, the incident that really irritated us. We started getting water in our car and took it to a mechanic. The mechanic came out and asked if we had just had the oil changed. Yes, a couple days ago. The mechanic then handed us a bolt that was placed in the AC drainage tube, ostensibly to keep the oil changer person from getting wet while changing the oil. He never removed it. The insult was that they denied doing it. Repeatedly. The only other plausible explanation involves an errant bolt flying up from the road that managed to drive itself fully into the drainage tube. Don't go there. I used to take my cars to take my cars to get an oil change and washed regularly. But recently i've been missing money out of my glove compartment out of all the vehicles i've taken there. Also, whenever I ask for an oil change, they keep trying to sell me things I don't need. For example, once they sold my husband an engine flush when it didn't need one, right after the engine started making noises. Watch out for an employee named Issac, he will always try to sell you something unneccessarry. I now go to Pelican. Run away from that place!! more
