The Manager went far and beyond the normal assistance. He kept me informed at all times and coordinated with my warranty company. Even when my warranty company was being difficult the manager and staff at Eagle Transmission were courtious and patient. They did a magnificent job in replacing my transmission. I thank the manager and staff for the professional service and individual care they provided me will repairing my car. I recommend anyone needing a trust-worthy, respectful and a company with integerity to take their vehicle to EAGLE TRANSMISSION! more

great service 5/12/2010

I was very at ease with Tim after with one conversation on the phone and knew I wanted Eagle transmission to do my repairs. I ask a lot of question about the cost of repairing a transmission and they did not try to sugar coat the cost to get my business. The estimate they gave me was a little higher than the actual cost. I tried to get estimates from other transmission repair businesses but they would not try to give me an estimate. The free towing was great and service afterwards was great. Thank you Time and Eagle Transmission Pros: very knowledgeable and helpful Cons: it wasn't free more

The Best experience with Auto Repair I have ever had. 3/9/2010

I called several transmission shops on Saturday, to only get an answering machine. I was not aware transmission shops are normally closed on weekends. I was about to give up when I called Eagle Transmissions in Austin Texas @ 512-448-4747 @ 6218 Manchaca Rd. My call was quickly answered by Joe Warner. He was extremely nice and offered me information about his shop. He gave me a level of comfort that I don't normally come across easily when dealing with auto repair. I looked up the Eagle Transmission site while on the phone with Joe and realized Joe was the owner. How awesome was that? Not only did Joe have all the calls to his shop picked up over the weekend, he had the calls transferred to his personal cell. This really identified the depth of care the owners had at this shop. I was hooked. I took my car in for some minor transmission work and was even able to use a $25 coupon I found on-line. There is a $250 coupon available for Major Repairs, mine was minor. My vehicle was ready within 24 - 36 hours. WOW! No excuses, no nothing, other then your car is ready sir. The last shop I had it at "Corrie's Transmissions" out of San Antonio never got the issue fixed. I had to take it to Corrie's Transmissions three times with no resolve. Could Eagle Transmissions be this good? THEY WERE THAT GOOD!!. My car's tranny is fixed, no leaks, and feels strong, and at a pretty decent price. I have never had a positive auto experience in my entire life until now. How freaking awesome. Oh and guess what? Joe Warner, just personally called me (two weeks) after the repair to follow-up with me. I was really in disbelief that Joe was calling. Could he be opening up a can of worms? Not if he felt very strongly about his service and repair, and he was right. Great Service and repair. I just got off the phone with Joe and thanked him for reaching out to confirm customer satisfaction with the repair and service. As long as this place is in business I will always offer my positive experience with them to anyone who wants info. You are welcome to email me at calaban55@yahoo if you would like to speak to me about their great service, if your not convinced yet. Do yourself a favor and reach out to Joe or Tim his manager. Pros: The Owners Care about their business Cons: I only found out about them this year more

these guys are top knotch ! 2/23/2010

i brought my wifes car in for tranny work, Tim was very polite and professional. We made a few jokes and i walked away feeling good, instead of sad about dropping $2,000 for a car with 66,000 miles. when all was said and done, car runs like a champ! (and 3 yr warranty) later i recieved a post card in the mail thanking me for my business. these guys are are a class act, with a work ethic that is seldom seen in todays world. more

Helpful and trustworthy 2/22/2010

I found the folks at Eagle Transmission to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Additionally, their prices were very reasonable compared to other transmission places in Austin. I have a very old vehicle, a 1972 Dodge camper and they did a wonderful job for me. I will definitely take my other vehicles to Eagle Transmission when they need transmission service. Pros: Great work Cons: Far from my home, but worth the trip. more

Would I recommend Eagle Transmission? A Resounding YES! 2/22/2010

So there I was, in Austin's rainy MoPac traffic. I thought, my tires just keep slipping. I had no traction on a little hill. It wasn't until I exited and began heading home, instead of work, that I realized it wasn't my tires, it was my transmission. It was actually slipping in transit at 40 MPH. I didn't know what to expect, but the first thing I did was get online and check out reviews of local transmission businesses. Eagle Transmission had absolutely no negative feedback and they were close to my house, but with so many locations I guess you'd be hard pressed to live where there wasn't one in Austin! I took my car there for an inspection. They concurred it was my transmission, but they couldn't really do anything until Monday. They called by 10 am Monday and told me, to my chagrin, it WAS the worst case scenario. The entire transmission had to be replaced. It was shredded. They completed the work by Wednesday. Tim, the manager was so informative, professional and friendly. They offer a 3 year warranty on their work and I'm sure I know why. They are really good. They never expect that you will ever need to call them to repair that transmission again. After the work was done, Tim told me to bring the vehicle back either after 2 weeks or 500 miles, when it was "broken in", for an inspection. I followed through with that last week and they validated my warranty. During the 10 minutes I waited for the inspection be to completed, Tim explained if there was any issue at all I should not hesitate to bring it back right away, and they would make it right. They also honored their offer of up to $250, which was reflected in the final bill. Then a week later, Joe, the owner, called me and asked if I was pleased with my service? Was my car performing well? Would I recommend Eagle Transmission to others? I answered with a resounding "Yes!" on all counts. Courteous, professional service, great follow up and a car that's rolling along better than ever. How could you ask for more? [disclaimer: I am not affiliated with or married to anyone who is associated with or works for Eagle Transmission! :o) ] - Deb T. Pros: Polite, efficient, professional and close to home. Cons: None! more

Excellent customer service, quality work and competitive price 2/12/2010

My father and I have been going to Eagle for years. They are dependable, conservative in their approach and trustworthy which is often difficult to find. I called in the evening one night to get shop hours and someone actually answered. Thanks Joe! Another shop said my 15-year old car couldn't be fixed and offered to buy it for parts. Eagle fixed it and I'm still driving it 6 months later. more

Trustworthy and helpful! 2/5/2010

Trustworthy! I thought I needed a transmission repair and took my car to Eagle. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with my transmission and Eagle steered me in the right direction to get the repair I needed. Thanks! What a great feeling to know there are still honest businesses out there. more

One of the most honest and honorable business' there is 1/20/2010

My daughter abd I had just survived the process of buying her 1st car. Having done business with Dan and his staff before I needed to know if we had made the right choice. After completely checking the transmission we got a clean bill of health. They took the time to explain to her the importance of maintainence and service. She told me how important they made her feel. That makes a Dad feel good. Youve got a customer for life more
