I can't remember when this park opened, but it's built on a trash heap. Sounds gross, but this park is really nice. It offers baseball diamonds, basketball courts, soccer fields, sand volley ball courts, rest rooms, a kiddie playground, pavillions, and a bike trail that winds around and over one of the biggest hills you're going to see in our area. You can even fly your model air plane in a designated area on the south side of the park.
You have to have a permit to use some of the sports areas, but I think they're free. You can also get a permit to reserve a pavillion for private use.
Downside is that the playground isn't covered at all, so your kids will be baking in the sun.
