Simply the best dentist I have ever gone to. Dr durkin has done a lot of dental work for me and I've never been more comfortable when I'm there. All of the staff there is thoughtful and kind. Best of all, they're extremely good at what they do. Going to the dentist used to be a terrible chore I would dread, but now I almost look forward to it. \r \r Dr durkin helped me with a new crown for a front tooth. She wouldn't settle for anything less than a perfect match and kept sending the crown back until it looked exactly like my other teeth. Other dentists are quick to apply hardware so they can get you out the door but Dr durkin is different. Most importantly, the new crown really is perfect (so much better than the one I had before). \r \r The office itself is spotless and state of the art. Since going to Emagen, I've now come to realize that the dentist doesn't have to be a painful experience. I've had several deep cavities filled that didn't hurt at all. Last week I called with a toothache and they got me in within hours to check it out. \r \r anton is always helpful in explaining the charges so that you're not in the dark with what's going on with your insurance. you won't leave the office wondering what you just spent so much money on. anton, along with the assistants are fantastic) and Dr durkin all make an effort to know you as a person and not just a customer more

I am a dentist's best client as long as I remember myself. Is it genes or too much antibiotics in my childhood - I don't know why my teeth get holes so easily. When I was thirty my front teeth were already covered by veneer and I had 8 crowns - thanks to a good dentist I found in New Jersey. Eleven years ago we moved to San Diego and I started my quest to find a good dentist here. Well, it's easier to meet a princess than a good dentist. The first dentist was beyond the horrible. He could not clean my teeth properly so he simply drilled holes in my enamel where he found stains. He was very proud of himself, I retreated all in tears and started to ask everybody if they can recommend me a dentist. One of my husband's colleagues named me a doctor who she thought was ok. I got stuck with that dentist for many years. He was cleaning my teeth and did a few fillings rather clumsily - and that was about it. Meanwhile my teeth were slowly deteriorating but I could not trust him to fix them. I kept searching for a doctor with smart hands - no one was happy with their doctors enough to give recommendations. Good dentists are rare. When one of my friends finally recommends me Dr. Durkin, I had so many bad teeth with cavities and inflammations that it started to affect my general health. I came to Dr. Durkin's office in need of one tooth extraction, new bridge, several crowns and complete remake of all front teeth. Doctor looked at my xrays and patiently explained what I need and why. All her explanations made sense to me so I decided to give it a try. After the first root canal I realized that Dr. Durkin has smart hands and an excellent education. One and a half years later I can smile wide again, all my bad teeth are fixed and I know they will never be in a bad shape again since I found the doctor who is looking after me. My whole family - my husband and both of my kids are going there. I feel lucky - because I consider it luck to find a good dentist. I also feel grateful. Thank you, doctor Durkin! more

Dr. Durkin was automatically assigned to me as my dentist by my insurance so before making an appointment I decided to check on what her current patients think of her. Well I am not impressed. I see multiple comments/reviews that are EXACTLY alike with different names on them. How could two different people come up with the exact same wording. Makes me question who is actually writing the reviews. Examples: Tranquility and Tommy both say ""My 13 yr old son had 3 teeth extracted before making braces.....Hmmm making braces?----Fara P and Gabby both say ""My daughter had 4 wisdom teeth removed in one sitting.......Briny P and Green both say ""All the procedures were as close to painless as possible....EXACT SAME WORDS. I kept on reading and found MANY more that are the same but just did not add them. Questioning this. ????????? more

Me and my family members have been clients of Dr. Durkin office for some time.\r My daughter had 4 wisdom teeth removed in one sitting and she had a very positive experience. We have done all kinds of procedures in this office and are very satisfied with the results.\r The only small inconvenience is that AT&T 3G services are not that good in that area. It makes hard to keep up with emails while I am in office. more

In my search for a new dentist I was lucky to have found Dr. Durkin. Due to the extensive amount of current work I needed to have done and the fact that most of it was not going to be covered by my insurance :( I asked a LOT of questions right up front before any of the treatment began. I had previously seen another dentist so I knew much of what to expect but Dr. Durkin was able to confirm the work needing to be done and presented my options in a clear and professional manner. I found Dr. Durkin and the dental assistants to be diligent in their quest for quality work and great service and I felt welcome each and every time I arrived for my appointments. Great service, friendly staff. very little waiting when I arrive for appointments and a dentist who wants the best for her patients! more

Hey, guys, when I go to a dentist my first priority is the quality and profeesionalism of the service provided. Dr. Anna has magic hands. When it is about some painful procedure (extraction, rootcanal, etc) I drive to San Diego to see Dr. Anna.\r My 13 year old son recently needed 3 teeth to be extracted before making braces. He refused to go to any other dentist. more

After reading the other reviews here I had to post something. My wife and I both see Dr. Anna and she is wonderful. All the work she has done on both of us has been perfect, the procedures as close to painless as possible, and she seems to really care about her patients and their teeth. I guess people have issues with prices and payment, well if you want free/cheap care, go elsewhere. If you want excellent dentistry, then Dr. Durkin is for you. more

Thanks to you dr durkin I got over my anxiety over dental clinics. When I was a kid, my mother would drag me to the oral physician (DDS) in san diego to have my teeth checked and cleaned. Now, I can do that on my own without being nervous! more

Very gentle doctor and freindly staff. I have made deep cleaning ($104) and partial lower denture ($450).The denture was fulfilled in time, very punctually. more
