I absolutely loved my doctor (I'm not an obstetrics patient, I just went for a yearly exam.) The staff were also great.
What I didn't like was the HUGE poster in the lobby, on an easel, by the front door advertising that AIWHC was pleased they could now offer Botox and laser hair removal, laser face lifts, etc. Fine. It's just one poster and I can easily ignore it, right? Not exactly. In each waiting room there were side tables with framed flyers saying you should, "Get rid of your 11's!" (Meaning the two lines between your eyebrows.) On the tables were binders full of Botox information and before and after photos!
I just didn't think this was tasteful in an OB/GYN office. It was actually kind of insulting. Laser hair removal? So.. is my doctor going to make a comment if I'm not professionally landscaped down there? Botox? Laser facelifts? What happened to natural beauty? Embracing a woman's body for what it is? Every single horizontal surface had some sort of advertising for cosmetic procedures on it. I would expect that at a plastic surgeon's office or even at the dermatologist but at your OB/GYN?! Very uncool.
Again, I really liked my doctor. I would absolutely go back to her. The lobby? Not my favorite. The emphasis on cosmetic procedures in an OB/GYN office seemed tacky to me.
