I had the best experience. There is a wait but thats because they spend as much time with a patient as need. If. You dont like to wait maybe you should go to a office that treats you like a number and get some common since that the world doesnt involve around you! more

horrible 7/22/2012

Staff is very rude. Any questions i have are not really ever answered and i am made to feel stupid. This is my first pregnancy and sometimes i just dont know what to expect. If i could start over again i would never go here. They also tell you to arrive 15 minutes early and are always atleast 30 minutes behind. Please do more research before chosing this practice. more

Good Doctor/HORRIBLE staff 10/15/2011

The reception staff on the phones and in person are the WORST I have ever encounter. Rude, dettached and overall unpleasant people. They are unhelpful in scheduling appointments, and on the phone treat you like they are too busy to deal with you. In the office they are incredibly unwelcoming and rude. This has been my experience multiple times in coming here until I finally have up and am looking for a new office. My NP was very nice, helpful, and caring and it's a shame the awful reception staff had to ruin my experience here. more

Not the best 8/29/2011

Well this is my first child and I am 4 weeks from my due date. I started with Dr. Canavero she was so rude to me I switched. The office staff is Ok at best. Seems to be lacking in customer service. If you call they always put you on hold and never seem to get back to you or hours later which is fine for a normal question, but an emergency? My apts are always late, and no one seems to care here... If I wasnt so close I wouldnt be with them. more

Steer Clear! 5/16/2011

This is not the place to come if you want compassionate care. I've had 2 miscarriages since going to this practice and no one seemed to bat an eye. I had cramping into my second trimester and a nurse practitioner told me that it was nothing, but they'd book an appt. the next day if I really wanted it. Well, it turned out by that time my baby was gone. The doctors at AWH are pretty good, but it's usually a long wait and you can't always see your doctor. In my opinion, the lacking overall experience is not worth it. more

Good Doctor, Odd Waiting Room Emphasis 12/8/2009

I absolutely loved my doctor (I'm not an obstetrics patient, I just went for a yearly exam.) The staff were also great. What I didn't like was the HUGE poster in the lobby, on an easel, by the front door advertising that AIWHC was pleased they could now offer Botox and laser hair removal, laser face lifts, etc. Fine. It's just one poster and I can easily ignore it, right? Not exactly. In each waiting room there were side tables with framed flyers saying you should, "Get rid of your 11's!" (Meaning the two lines between your eyebrows.) On the tables were binders full of Botox information and before and after photos! I just didn't think this was tasteful in an OB/GYN office. It was actually kind of insulting. Laser hair removal? So.. is my doctor going to make a comment if I'm not professionally landscaped down there? Botox? Laser facelifts? What happened to natural beauty? Embracing a woman's body for what it is? Every single horizontal surface had some sort of advertising for cosmetic procedures on it. I would expect that at a plastic surgeon's office or even at the dermatologist but at your OB/GYN?! Very uncool. Again, I really liked my doctor. I would absolutely go back to her. The lobby? Not my favorite. The emphasis on cosmetic procedures in an OB/GYN office seemed tacky to me. more

feeling alone 7/10/2009

I went in as a new patient 6wk preg. with a Subchorionic Bleed. I was told it did not look good because the amount of bleeding i was experiencing. At my last appointment at 7wk the Dr. told me to come back at 11 weeks if I don't lose the baby before then. From what i have read on the net..most Dr.'s want to see the patient back weekly to determine if there is still a heart beat. The earlier the better for a D and C if the pregancy is not viable...so why would i be dismissed this way?? I'm already "high risk" at 41 which she made sure to remind me of although from what i have read, SCH does not have anything to do with age..and just made me feel worse and pretty much like there was no hope. She reminded me how "the good eggs are when we're younger and now..." you get the idea... Now i have had two days of no bleeding and general pregnancy nausea (i have two children and remember quite well) so this may be heading in the right direction, but she is only willing to "take me in" and give me the vitamins etc if i'm still pregnant in 4 weeks. Am i crazy or do i deserve better than this? My last obgyn was a brilliant dr. but if you landed in the hospital while she was at a Kings game or on her way to one then you were SOL and you were lucky to see her 2 times during your pregnancy...so i need a Dr. with compassion and a great 'bed side manner' is that too much to ask? This is difficult enough. I won't say who this Dr. is but maybe another Dr. at this practice would be better for me. I just want to deliver at Sutter Roseville if the pregnancy goes to term and need a good Dr. help... more

Best Practice 5/10/2009

Good: The office staff is so friendly and helpful and Dr. Lambourne is very easy to talk to and doesn't rush through appointments.. more

Great Practice! 1/6/2007

I see Dr. Dina Canavero, as well. I've seen a couple of the other docs when she was called away to deliveries, and Dr. Scates helped with my last c-section. They are all FANTASTIC! The office is great, and "Dr. Dina" is so caring. She's a busy doctor, but when I've really needed her, she's acted like I'm the only patient she had. She's taken care of me through one "normal" pregnancy, one high-risk pregnancy and two miscarriages. I really appreciate the time and care she puts into her patients. more

Love it here 5/30/2006

I came to AWH about six months into my pregnancy, nervous about changing doctors. This place made it a breeze. I chose Dr. Lambourne and from day one he made me feel at ease. You can tell he is busy, but even with that, if you ask him a question he takes the time to explain it as though he has nowhere else to be. The office staff is very friendly and aside from sometimes having wait up to an hour for an appointment the experience has been great. When they are backlogged they let you know and it is usually because your doctor is delivering a baby - what can they do about that? more

Love all the docs. 10/23/2005

I came here looking for an ob doctor after moving to California a year ago. My doctor was really awesome. I seen a few other doctors while mine was away and all of them were really very nice. The front desk staff is always very friendly and always willing to help. I loved haveing my prenatal appointmenst here even though I would sometimes have to wait longer than my appointment time. They made having my child at this practice and hospital very enjoyable and almost worry free. I would highly recommend this practice and any of the doctors to anyone and everyone. more

Dr. Dina Canavero - the best OB/GYN around!! 8/6/2005

Dr. Dina Canavero, located in the ever growing city of Roseville, is one of the nicest, most caring OB/GYN's I've had the privilege to know. Dr. Canavero really listens to her patients, spending quality time with each one. She is aided by her extremely knowledgeable nurses and nurse practitioners - you are always treated with dignity and respect with Dr. Canavero and her staff. The office is nice, and conveniently located right next to Sutter Roseville Hospital, if that is where you deliver (she does also deliver at Mercy San Juan in Citrus Heights, if your insurance dictates such.) She is an asset to obstetrics and gynecology, and I can't recommend her enough!!! more
