Best

Best coffee house in Minneapolis and, I think the prices are more like the 60's than other coffee houses too.

Place for relaxation 3/17/2006

I like the atmosphere there. I can bring my laptop and find a small table so I can spend some weekend afternoon there. Just it's always crowded at weekends, so it's not that quiet as you would expect. But then it becomes an advantage if you want make some friends there. I particularly like the deserts there and coffee is just so so. more

Great Coffee shop 8/20/2005

The original Dunn Bros is by far the best. For blocks around the cafe, you can smell the roasting coffee. Unlike so many coffee shops, Dunn Bros gets it beans from burlap sacks, not hermetically sealed packets. This commitment to fresh roasted beans is source of one of the best tasting cups of coffee in the Cities. Dunn Bros prices are reasonable ($2.85 for a 16oz latte). On a hot summer day, check out the shaded patio out back. Dunn Bros also makes the best ice tea in town, and they provide sugar syrup for the Southerners in the crowd. more

For Coffee Enthusiasts 8/17/2005

The Dunn Bros. coffee shop on Grand Avenue is a mixed bag. The great atmosphere and large variety of food and drink choices is a definite draw, but the coffee itself is rather acidic. Whether your drink is good tends to be unpredictable, usually tending toward the not-so-good. I'd recommend this place if you like Italian Sodas, like live music (on the weekends), and enjoy the atmosphere of the independent coffee house. more
