Amazing fish dumplings! Everything I ate here was far above par. Authentic. If you want some good Chinese, and particularly dumplings - eat here.

Master of Very Dry Dumplings 1/6/2009

Dumpling ""Master""?? After missing the exit off the 10 for Din Tai Fung in Arcadia, we decided to just go here (based on Yelp reviews, which are usually pretty accurate, but NOT this time). The dumplings were very dry inside and lacked flavor.. We also ordered the pan-fried onion cake. I've never seen it so thin before, and it hardly had any green onions! We got the Three Ingredients (chicken, pork, beef) Chow Mein, which tasted fine if you compare it to Panda Express' chow mein. And it's not exactly cheap for Chinese food. Almost forgot to mention, the lady (owner?) was not friendly at all. In fact, one customer walked out after the lady spoke to her rudely. The restaurant's been around for a long time, so I'm sure that the food USED to be good (notice the positive reviews were back in 2006/earlier?). There's no way I'm going back. Food and service sucked. Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Lack of service, bad food more

Long time favorite 4/10/2006

Great inexpensive food just like i used to get in Taiwan. My favorite is the pork chop soup with the hand made noodles (tell them to hold the noodles from the soup til everything else is ready). Potstickers, steamed jiaozi, and princess chicken are also good Pros: great food, great prices, good prompt service Cons: smelly parking lot more

Homestyle cooking tummy heaven! 12/26/2005

I've been eatting here since i was about 7, which makes that 18 years I have enjoyed Dumpling Master. Their food is not fancy or gormet by any means, but it's delicious, well priced, and a quick substitute for mom-style Chinese cooking. Their dumplings are well wrapped and tasty, and they offer a nice variety of dumplings (steamed, boiled, or pan-fried with pork, chicken, fish, lamb, vegetarian, etc). I highly recommend their garlic sauteed A-vegetable or hollow vegetable (if in season, just ask). Check the walls and the front doors for added menu items! You can also buy a bag of frozen dumplings (about 40 pieces) made by them for about $20, depending which kind you get. CASH ONLY! Pros: tasty, good parking, inexpensive Cons: the dumpster outside, it smells on your way, inside more

Go for the handmade noodles 2/19/2005

The 3 ingredient soup w/ handmade noodles is the ultimate comfort food in my book! Great broth and the weighty, chewy noodles are fantastic-- don't let them sit too long otherwise they get mushy. The dumplings are quite tasty. And, my boyfriend loves the hot and sour soup. It's a bit shabby looking but the it's clean and the staff is nice. Pros: handmade noodles, cheap Cons: so-so facility more

Maybe a name change??? 1/4/2004

I don't think they should be called Dumpling Master. It's a great way to attract non-Asians... but i don't think i will be bringing my business back there. I had their potstickers (gwo-tie or woh-teet) and noodles w/ brown sauce (ja jiang mian), both were mediocre. The steamed dumplings (shao loong bao) are quite large but do not contain as much ""juice"" as they should. i recommend trying Green Village Restaurant (Lu Yang Chuen). Both their steamed dumplings and potstickers ooze with juice. Pros: Big shaoloongbao's Cons: Misleading name, No juice more

I am not worthy! 8/26/2002

Wow! Best Chinese food I've ever had. Super-thick chewy handmade noodles in the soup, great dumplings. I've had the three ingredient soup and the pork soup with potherbs. Both are great, but I can't deny the potherbs--roughly pureed greens on top of the regular soup! So tasty! Dumpling-wise, I generally prefer steamed to fried. I especially recommend the chicken. It's flavored with green onion and something that tastes like celery (celery leaves, perhaps). Pork are also awesome. Pros: GREAT food, inexpensive more
