Dulce Plate

We visited this restaurant on a night that it was understaffed. It took at least 20 minutes to get seated, when many tables were open. We wanted to try the tapas that were listed on the menu. After we were seated, we were told that they did not have tapas. \r \r It appeared that the owner's son had to fill in as a server. Although he was polite, he knew nothing about the food. Each time I asked about how a dish was prepared, he said, ""I don't know. But it's excellent."" I ended up ordering fish that was overcooked. When the server asked how it was, I told him honestly, but he did nothing about it. On our way out, the manager or owner also asked how the food was. When I said the fish was overdone, she replied, ""that happens sometimes"". more

My wife and I ate at this ""restaurant"" and the food, if you call it that, was disgusting. The service, one of the owners I might add, was shoddy at best. We were looking forward to an intimate dining experience with what we thought would be ""Spanish cuisine fit for a king"" - instead we were served over-cooked food with bizarre mixes of spices and herbs, it was like someone concocted the dishes at the last minute. Better off going to Kerstin's or Nell Thorn in La Conner.... honestly, we don't know how this place stays in business. Cons: Read the comments more
