We have used Ducts Unlimited for many years with my home heating and air system. We also have a service maintenance agreement where they come and check my system twice a year. We have had nothing but good customer service and when there were things that needed to be repaired/fix - the Service techs were nothing but professional and nice. more

I definitely would not reccomend Ducts Unlimited. I would rate this company a negative number if it was possible on the survey. They overcharge and they can't get their service right the first time. Not only did I have to go without heat, the service guy I talked to was rude and was bad mouthing the customer before me. Ultimately I ended up getting James River Heating & Air to fix my problem and they did a great job. These people are unprofessional and lack customer service. I definitely would not contact them again. more

At this point if I could have given them 0 stars I would have but the computer made me choose at least 1. My grandmother called b/c her heat was not working. The gentleman came out, diagnosed the problem and stated it would be $565 just for the part. (this did not include the $100+ fee just for them to come out) I asked him was the part really that expensive and he said yes. The total to replace a Pilot Ignition Module was $595!!!! I asked about the warranty and was advised the part probably only had a 30 day warranty (90 at the most) and that they only warranty their work for 30 days. I had a really hard time believing that a part would only be warrantied for 30-90 days so I asked for my grandmother's old part and the box the new part came out of. I did some research for myself and found that the part straight from the manufacturer only cost $145 and you could get them cheaper than that from other places. I understand a markup as I am a business person myself but 400% is excessive. The website also showed that the part had a 1 yr warranty . .so why would he tell me 30-90 days. I called back and the person who answered the phone claimed ignorance and advised that I call back on Monday and talk to Cindy. I will def be calling back and I'll update this as well . . .in the meantime, if you need your furnace fixed, I suggest you look elsewhere. more

I recently had some problems with my furnace, really simple problems. Ducts unlimited pretty much came and cleaned out my furnace, somethign that could have been done through normal maintenance. I did not know who installed my furnace and since i aout stuff like this called around and got a number of qoutes, while the price for the service was rather high by comparison to some of the others that i called they had pretty good customer service and someone was available 24/7. If it were not for the high price i would have rated them higher. more

WE ARE NOT PERFECT; HOWEVER WE WARRANT EVERY INSTALLMENT WE DO AND OUR SERVICE TECHS ARE TAUGHT TO GIVE PROMPT SERVICE. Ducts Unlimited installed my heat pump. It has broken down twice so far in the 10 months since installation. The first time someone was out immediately. They were fast and friendly. The second time, I called at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and didn't get a call from the tech until 4:00 p.m saying that he would be out the next morning and would call before he came. He didn't call or show. Someone showed up Monday morning to fix it. So, I ended up getting the flu from being in a cold house all weekend and had to take a day off work (which actually ended up being 3 because of the flu) because Ducts didn't want to do their job right the first time. I telephoned to get them to fix my air conditioning. A serviceman called me back and said he couldn't get here till late at night and that he'd tell the office to call me the next day to set up an appointment. I never heard from them, checked with some colleagues at work who said Ducts Unlimited did not offer good service and one person recommended another company who set up the appointment right away, did great work, didn't pressure me into a service plan (although they have a good inexpensive one which I DID purchase) and their prices were unusually reasonable. I'm glad Ducts Unltd. didn't call me! Pros: Cute name. more
