Drake Diner is good 8/13/2009

Drake Diner is the best! Some of my favorite menu items are the portabello sandwich, the onion rings, and their milkshakes. Food is yummy and a good value. Service is usually good, but not always. more

This is a great restaurant with great food. I would say the pop is a bit watery, but the burger and fries are great as are the shakes. Always get a shake! more

Great Diner 11/1/2008

If you're craving diner food & diner atmosphere then the Drake Diner is the way to go. We recommend their milkshakes, Bloody Mary's, Club sandwich and Maytag Burger. (The Maytag Burger was enjoyed by Yo Yo Ma during his '05 visit with the Des Moines Symphony!) Service is sometimes questionable, but who really cares when you're at a campus spot? Family friendly and great for breakfast or lunch, this is another great Drake Neighborhood mainstay. more
