My husband and I went to Dr. Goldsmith's office about three to five times each. We will never return for the following reasons: The first time I went there, the oral hygienist repeatedly scratched my gums with the cleaning tools and was excessive with the cleaning at the gum-line. When I got home and checked, my mouth was bleeding. My mouth hurt so badly that I could not eat for two days afterward. The office portion is also handled so badly that each time we were their, it took nearly an hour to check out even if there was no one else in line. It seemed to take three women behind the counter to figure out that I indeed had no co-pay and could leave. They also tried twice to charge me for bills I already paid them, which I could luckily prove with check stubs. My husband is in the military and because he was on active duty when he had some work done, we had to fill out a special form and the dentist's office needed to complete it an send it to the insurance company to obtain coverage. We got the form and filled it out before having the work done thinking that would be sufficient. The dentist office said the insurance would not accept the form or cover payment when I called after receiving a $3,000.00 dental bill. After calling the insurance company, they said no form had been received and that payment would be covered if they received the form. The dentist office then retorted that they no longer had the form. After obtaining and filling out a new form, we went through the exact same motions as the first time. The final straw was when my father got into a motorcycle accident and I forgot to call and cancel the appointment I had that day. When I received my next bill there was a $50.00 charge. When I called to inquire about it, they said it was for not calling to cancel. When I explained the circumstances of my not calling, the woman proceded to accuse me of dodging my appointment to avoid paying for some of the $3,000.00 charge they were trying to wrongfully inflict on us. The woman was so utterly rude and spiteful that we never returned. When I went to our new dentist, Dr. Goldsmith's office tried to charge us another fee for copying the x-rays. Our new dentist office informed us that it's not a necessary charge, that some offices just do it to make money especially if the patient was willing to pick up the file and/or return it, as I was. I guess it was just their last ditch effort to try to squeeze more money out of us. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!
