I bought a big package here last year. Several times, I would tan and wouldn't get any color because they had old bulbs in the beds. Each time, I would complain and ask them to have the manager or owner call me. Why should I pay $10 a tan...especially if I don't get one!! Not once did I receive a call from anyone about my situation. It was the worst customer service!! I would have thought they would have cared about my business since I purchased such a large package. I spent hundreds of dollars there and they couldnt take the time to return ONE call. It became so bad that it WAS A WASTE for me to go there anymore so I left without even finishing my package. Why should I waste my time if they don't change their bulbs and I'm NOT going to get tan?\r \r If you want a good tan, go ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!! City Tan has top of the line equipment. The drawback is a creepy owner. He hits on his staff and any good looking girl that walks into the salon. OH MY GOD! I thought that this was supposed to be one of the best, but I was advised wrongly. I've been to them about 3 times, only because I haven't found time ti find another vet that is suitable to my standards yet. This hospital is so COLD. It was like dealing with the children of the corn or zombies or something. Are the staff former druggies from the 70s? They were NOT AT ALL personable! And they were so DULL-HEADED and kind of MEAN. Anytime I had a question for them, they didn't know what I was talking about! And they were not friendly at all! You have SEVERAL people working there, yet they ignore you alot. One time, I was standing there to pay for the visit, and this one nurse/assistant just completely ignored me! She didn't even say, "one moment" or anything. She just kept walking back and forth right in front of my face and out of her desk area. She was even AVOIDING eye contact with me! She wasn't doing anything though except walking back and forth!\r \r They di more

After taking our turtle to a vet not worthy of the initials DVM, we took him to SCAH where he was given a thorough exam and treatment began. Unfortunately we switched vets too late and our beloved turtle died. When I called to inquire how this happened, everyone was so kind and understanding. They even sent us a sympathy card. We decided to take the remainder of our animals in for checkups and they all received thorough check ups. I was impressed with Dr. Franco when she examined our other turtle so I brought in my precious cat for a check up. My cat needed dental surgery to remove loose teeth and the treatment she received was great. Shortly after she recovered from surgery she came down with a horrible case of gastritis as a result of the house plant. My cat spent the next four days at SCAH receiving treatment and every test known to mankind. Don't get me wrong: they didn't perform any test that would not have made sense and they only performed them with my permission and after giving me an estimate. My cat is my baby, so money was irrelevant. The staff was kind, courteous and understanding. I definitely felt that everyone was as concerned for my baby as I was. This was the scariest moment in my life (and my cat's) and everyone at SCAH did everything they could to make it easier for us. The prices were reasonable and my baby has never received better veterinary care in her life. I highly recommend SCAH and Dr. Franco for all of your animals. Pros: Kind, courteous staff. What should have been a small emergency case of rest and re-hydration for a dog has turned into a life and death situation exacerbated by a vet too incompetent to actually care for our dog. If you value your pet I would stay far away from SCAH! \r \r While my husband and I were out of town this week (04/05/08), we put our dog in "day care." While he was there he stopped eating/drinking. The day care felt that it was an emergency and took him to SCAH. \r \r We rushed back to town as fast as we could and taken to the back of the animal hospital where we found our dog in a kennel with an IV in his paw, soaking in his own urine. We were pretty horrified about the state of our pet. The back of the animal hospital was total chaos, we could not find the attending vet and the staff could not be bothered to assist us. \r \r We had to leave our dog overnight so that he could be re-hydrated. We were never told that the dog had any wounds and when we questioned it we were told it was for treating hotspots and scald. \r \r The vet never bothered to mention that while they allowed our dog to soak in his own urine he was getting excruciating, infected bedsores. \r \r When the dog was finally brought out to us he had been shaved over a third of his body and was covered in red, infected blisters. He could not walk at all and looked like he had been run over by a car.\r \r The staff treated us with plenty of attitude, the vet acted as if we were wasting his time and we were presented with an enormous bill (which included unnecessary tests). We were then given back our dog in such terrible condition that we thought we were going to have to put him down. We're still not sure if he's going to make it. Pros: Absolutely none. Cons: Incompetent vet, rude staff, over-priced, chaotic/unprofessional atmosphere. more

It also included a bit of technical information about the beds such as wattages and uv percentages. This was very helpful understanding what would be the best choice for me and wether it may be worth it to pay extra for certain beds. The people working there are always nice and it is very clean. Best thing about it is that it is soooo easy. They have thier own parking and they help me right away. I am in and out in a flash. \r During their recent renovation, I had to go to a nearby place called ""On the beach"" which was terrible and illustrated how great City Tan was even more. The renovation that they did made the place even better. Pros: easy more

Studio City Animal Hospital helped us greatly very recently with our sick Cat. They quickly were able to asset exactly what was wrong with her and what was needed. They are true animal lovers and have a clean office that handles emergency visit well. more

They gave wonderful care to my two senior cats. Dr. Flanagan and Dr. Sykes (the primary vets for each of them) have been terrific through a series of major problems. Each cat came down with a major problem totally different from the other at almost the same time, and their treatment was thorough and caring, and they were always ready to explain or re-explain the diagnosis and treatment options when I got confused from the stress of having two crises simultaneously. I felt every test was justified and I was so grateful to have a clear diagnosis. And in my experience, the prices were reasonable and accommodating. The technicians and office staff were caring and attentive as well. This is the best vet by far that I have found since I moved to the San Fernando Valley, and equal or better than any I've ever had. more

absolutely terrible place! extremely expensive, terrible service. Always thought it was a great hospital while my dog was healthy until, God forbid, I actually needed it for an emergency. They made us go through countless and pointless exams and ran a tab that I would be ashamed to say how much. Felt like I was completely taken advantage of. Will never go back there again. This facility has very good people. Their credentials are matched by their attitude as fellow animal lovers. From routine exams and feline medical needs-to a terrible moment in my life when my cat had to be euthanized due to an inoperable cancer... These folks actually shared my grief, and made the terrible day as easy as can be. They do have a lot of Dr's, the advantage there is over multiple visits with a hard to diagnose affliction-You get the second (or third) opinion right there. With all due respect to another rather negative review-To me, that multiplicity of doctors is a is a HUGE plus. more

10 y.o. cat, never been sick...suddenly DIES after receiving tx. here (AND after I spent over $5k for no apparent reason)? Flanagan is fine, THE AEC young male blonde doctor is the one who killed her...(Which is quite a mystery since she was fine when I spoke to Dr. Flanagan before he went off duty at 6 p.m. and by 9:30 p.m. the AEC doctor told me she suddenly "Wasn't doing so well and was not going to make it..." UM, WHAT!!!!!!?????? I STILL do not have ANY explanation for her sudden deterioration nor cause of death; (But then again the dr. at AEC was so worried about playing with his personal dog that he'd brought to work that night and the rest of the AEC staff so focused on getting their take-out food order together it didn't leave a lot of time left to focus on the care of my cat who clearly was not a priority). \r I have had an autopsy performed and will keep you posted on this forum re: my complaints to the CA. We went to see them for our uromastyx. (reptile pet shop owner goes there and referred to us this place)\r We couldn't find good herp vet until now. When we called them and told them we have a uromastyx, they schedule us to see herp vet who is working there. And they seem knowledgeable for these guys (exotic animals) then we felt comfortable. \r They say that commonly seen reptile at their place is iguana, the bearded dragon and uro. I am sure they will see others too, but just call them first if you have exotic animals. They might be able to help you. \r \r Our uro was totally fine, he was actually healthy. We see he had a infection before and he was getting better though still wanted to check him. \r We felt really better and they gave us antibiotics. Also, bill was inexpensive! more
