Dr Albeheary & Associates

I moved from california a month a go, I suffer from depression. I've seen at least 2 other psychiatrist who were insensitive to my needs until Dr Albeheary was recommended to me by a friend, sure enough, sensitive, listens to you, spends time, wisdom beyond her years. Dr. Albeheary does not have a good bedside manner. You get the feeling she is uncaring and not listening to you. I went to see her for the first time recently. She would ask me questions and then stare out the window absentmindedly as I responded. If you want someone to thoughtlessly write you a prescription this is the dr., if you want real care do not go to her. Pros: Location, Appointment Availablility more

Troubled, in need of help, and having read the other CitySearch review of the psychiatrist , I made an appointment. The anticipation of help and hope grew. Her assistant called and rescheduled the appointment. Initially I was disheartened, but having developed a sense of commitment to her and finally getting the care I needed, I scheduled a second appointment date/time. Finally, with hopeful anticipation I arrived for the appointment. Doctor Albeheary did NOT even show up for the appointment! Her assistant kept telling me that she was just running late and would be in shortly. I was diagnosed when I was younger with ADD. So, now that I am an adult, I have Adult ADD. When I first moved to Chicago, I bounced around to a few Doctors. I was never pleased. I never felt comfortable with any other Doctor. Dr. Albeheary is great. She listens to me and can actually understand my problems.
