Bank of America 3/22/2006

Bank of America is my first bank. I've had them since I was 18. It's a pretty good bank overall. The local one in Stockton is really nice and accomodating and are really willing to waive any overdraft fees. The only down side is in order to get free checking, you need to have direct deposit. I find that the people are generally pretty nice. I dont' recommend putting money in a saving here because it has one of the lowest interest rates. There are better banks that gives around 4.5 to 5% interest rate for savings. Overall good bank and very very convenient because they have ATM everywhere! more

I sometimes have to check on other people's checks here to see if money is in the payee's account. The clerks are so helpful and communicate so nicely, like they really care and this makes a big difference in getting through the confusion of a bad check. Even though I don't have an account with them, the tellers are rooting for me so I can get my money. It's a very cool feeling. more

Not a lot of Crowds 3/12/2006

This is the best kept secret in Sacramento. While everyone is piling in at Arden Fair Mall. Downtown Plaza is wide open and ready for shoppers. The parking is validated for 3 hours worth if you buy something from one of the merchants. There is a wonderful playground with soft sculptors that my daughter loves to play around with other children. Downtown Plaza is primarily an outside mall. I love shopping outside. There are beautiful fountains; my daughter loves making a wish at the fountains. more
