I always prefer to go with a national company as opposed to ? Michaels Moving ? (which is actually the name of a local company in our area!). The national companies usually have reputations to protect, and are able to provide much better information on the front end. alliance moving gave us a competitive price and showed great efficiency in providing our price quotes and other decision-making data. I was pleased with their customer service representative as well, as was my wife. Based on the information we had, we decided that 24/7 Downtown Miami Movers was the best choice for our move. Now that moving day has come and gone, I have no regrets about my choice. 24/7 Downtown Miami Movers personnel did a very good job in handling our materials and transporting them to our home in our new city.This crew made very good use of the space available. As you would expect, these dudes were STRONG! Things that would have taken two of us were easy for one of these men to move by himself. As I sat and watched them work, I was glad that I was not doing any heavy lifting myself. We were very pleased with their courteous personnel, their emphasis on customer service, and their willingness to ensure our satisfaction. Would not recommend this company. Highly unprofessional.... After reading the reviews on this website and calling around for quotes, I decided to settle on this moving company. On the day of my move, after 15 minutes passed and the movers haven't arrived, I decided to call them. The person, who answered the phone, assured me that everything is fine. 30 min passed..no movers. An hour past scheduled time...no movers. Once again, I call, someone states that he is going to call the drivers and see what has happened. Another 15 min past...no call back and they're ignoring my calls. Finally, AFTER AN HOUR AND HALF past scheduled time, someone calls me back and says the moving truck is having problems. Give me a break! I'm not stupid. I would have appreciated if someone had told me the truth from the beginning (that the drivers were running really late). Furthermore, it would have nice to receive a call stating that they would not be on time. I had a scheduled elevator time with my new apartment building. These people did not care about that. In the end, they offered me a discount for my troubles. I refused without hearing the discount offer. I will not give money and tip to people who can't act professional. There are other moving companies in Miami. If you choose to go with this company, GOOD LUCK! more

I strongly recommend Chris. He is very efficient and responsible. I got a phone call from him just one minute after I posted my need and got the moving done next day (that was Sunday). Compare with the other movers, his price is pretty reasonable. more

Great movers. I am a student and thought of moving my apartment myself. At the last minute a friend with a van said he had to leave the city. I called a couple of moving companies and since 24/7 Downtown Movers gave me the best quote I went with them. They were very efficient but also very cautious with my belongings. Before I booked my movers, many people gave me advice about either getting a flat rate or going with an hourly rate. And although I understand why the majority of the people recommended flat rate, I decided to try 24/7 Movers and an hourly rate. The flat rate quote from another company was about $1000. 24/7 Movers estimated my move to be about $600 - and I actually ended up paying $450. So I can say this much - 24/7 Movers did not try to con me in any way. They were up-front and they delivered. The guys came on-time, packed up the furniture and breakables nicely, were professional and they were very fast. Overall they were a great team and I am happy to recomend them. One tip to people who are moving - ORGANIZE your boxes and everything you are moving before the movers get there. That is the key. We color coded each item with where it would go in the new house (went to staples and just bough different color stickys) - then laid out the plan for the movers based on the color coding.
