Would not recommend 6/1/2011

would never recommend Dowell to anyone I know. I thought they were polite and treated our things well but they underestimated the time by a little over 3 hours. We ended up paying double what we originally budgeted. Granted, they were one less mover than they were supposed to have but it took over 6 hours to move us from a small 2 br house. Also, not everything fit into the moving truck. The owner came over to do an estimate a week before the move, so he saw what was being moved and should have known what size truck to bring. I am just disappointed that we didn't speak up during the move and question why it was taking so long. I just think that it is bad business practices to underestimate the time by that much and not truly offer an explanation of why. more

Terrible movers, they reek of marijuana and they are incapable of moving a 1 bdrm apartment, the above review is a scam. more
