Shelly I had the same kind of terrible experience with this guy. He put a low bid for me and got the job. But I ende up paying 1 1/2 times more than the original price for the correction by another contractor. I paid him for 3 inches white marble for the patio traffic and guess what he used 1/2 inch marble that started cracking off. I paid him for highest grade exterior white oil based paint for the rails around the house and stable for the horses and instead he used the one that started chipping after the first winter and his excuse in the court was : the heat and the sun. Oh my god, Is this guy stupid or what? Even the judge laughed at him. Like you put down Shelly he is a dishonest man and I hope city gets cleaned off these so called contractors. I believe this is the same guy that got caught by the undercover police later in 2008 for forced entry into her place in the lower valley but then got released because the girl had some kind of seizure history and he said that he was trying to help her. Breaches the contract and comes up with excuses, Steals paid materials from one construction and charges other customer for the same material and double dips. Charges for unfinished work and comes with excuse that the customer ran out of budget and he needs more money to finish the project, so the poor customer has to reapply for loan or somehow come up with extra cash despite the fact that Mr. Dishonest Doug Stone has played him or her.. He uses counterfeit materials and charges the customer for the real materials. He is been reported badly to Good business Beaureu and Construction beaureu. Pros: Worst general Contractor in Teahachapi and surrounding area. Cons: Lies about const. deadline, Steals material from customer. more
