In response to Kenneth b. I am sorry your experience was not up to your expectations. Your A/C compressor was leaking at the front seal and your oil pan gasket was leaking. We tried to show you this but you stated you did not have time to look. In addition when you brought your car in you told us the blower motor was working intermittently. As we explained to you the mechanic that supposedly repaired your a/c for less than 300.00 did nothing more than fill the system with Freon and replace something that cost 160.00 although you would not specify what that was. It WILL leak out. How many times are you willing to spend 300.00 for temporary fixes? Your oil pan gasket is leaking as you evidently admit to as you are willing to add an extra quart every few months. We did not twist your arm and tell you that it had to be done it was just recommended. It is a job that is close to 500.00 because it is 4 hours labor plus parts to repair. Go ahead and call around to other shops and check pricing. you will find that we are in line if not cheaper than everybody else on this repair. We did charge you 44.00 to check your A/C out which is a half hour of labor. For this charge we hook our a/c machine up to your car fill with Freon and perform our leak check. We also preformed a electrical check on your blower motor and then we removed the Freon so as not to waste your money on Freon that will leak out. I am sorry you feel you were overcharged for this service but again if you check with any reputable shop you will find that this is a normal charge. We recommended a blower motor based on your complaint of intermittent operation and this normally points to a bad spot on armature of the motor. It amazes me how people like you can come in to my shop and because they don't like the fact that the cost of repairs exceeds their expectations will get on a public forum and make claims that we are crooks and rip people off. The quotes you were given were fair and in line with what other REPUTABLE shops would charge for the same repairs. I recently went to Dorset to have my ac checked out to see why it wasn't working.It was there for three hours and no reply.Called to see how my car was coming along they told me my compressor was leaking,my hvac blower fan didn't work and my oil pan was leaking. Didn't go for a pan check only ac.They gave me a price of over 1500.00 to fix everything.Funny thing is the blower fan worked fine as i use it every day not to mention it was new i put it in myself.So i went to another garage to get a second opinion and in 5 minutes the mechanic found the problem.It was a 160.00 part,not to mention there was no charge for the service to check it.Dorset charged me almost 50.00 My ac is up and running for less than 300.00 and Dorset wanted over 1000.00 dollars.I wouldn't recommend anybody going there as they are crooks and will only take your money.Very unprofessional way of doing business with the public.If they would have at least offered to refund my money i would have had more faith in that place.And omg 500.00 dollars to have a oil pan gasket replaced highway robbery.talk about price gouging.Better i add an extra quart every few months. more

I took my car to Dorsett's recently and I'm very satisfied with the whole experience. They counter guys were courteous and professional and my car was ready when promised! The final price was a little lower than quoted which was great. Definitely will go back! more

I took my car to Dorsett's after a recommendation from a friend. I had taken it to one of those brake places and the estimate was almost 800 dollars. I wanted a second opinion and after Dorsett's checked my car out I was able to make all the repairs for less than the other shop and the work was done while I waited! They are very nice and I will recommend them to all my friends and family. more

Just had some repairs done to my 2008 Ford Diesel. I was quoted over a 1000.00 at another shop for repairs that were not even needed. Dorsett's saved me almost 350.00 dollars as the truck did not need what the other shop said it needed. These guys are VERY knowledgeable on diesels and the work was performed to my complete satisfaction! The staff is very friendly and I look forward to doing business with them in the future. more

Dorsett's Tire has been a life saver for me and my family! When a place in Friendswood said I needed thousands of dollars worth of work on my Ford Expedition Dorsett's found that was not true at all! They did one repair, saved me TONS of money, and now my Expedition runs great!!!! more

I WENT TO DORSETT WITH GOOD FAITH AND THEY CHARGE ME ALOT OF MONEY FOR NOTHING AND THEN CAME OUT AND SAID THAT THE PROBLEM WASNT FIX INTIL I DID ANOTHER FIX AND THEY TRY TO CHARGE ME MORE I REFUSE AND TOOK IT TO A OLD MECHANIC FRIEND AND HE SAID THEIR WAS NO NEED TO FIX THAT OTHER ISSUE CAUSE THEIR WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT THEY LIED TO ME AND OVER CHARGED ME AND TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH THAT WAS JUST PLAIN EVIL HOW ARE WE AS CUSTOMERS SUPPOSE TO GO SOME WHERE WITH GOOD FAITH AND THEN TO BE ROBBED BY PEOPLE YOU THOUGH YOU COULD TRUST NEVER AGAIN....
