My girlfriend and I went to Dorschel KIA in Rochester to buy our second car from them after getting into an accident which left us without our first car. They were real helpful and even got us into a rental for a couple days which they weren't required to do. Seems like the perfect place right? Well- Not right. Both the 09' and 11' optimas we bought from there, we bought both through a salesman named Matt. At first he seemed like a cool guy, not the typical salesman- had tattoos and piercings. Anyways, a week after leaving with the car, we noticed that the number of calls my girlfriend was receiving from Matt was starting to be of concern. At first he was just curious about how the car was working for her, then he starting calling more often while she was at work, 3-4 times in one day, which she was unable to answer. Matt then decided it was appropriate to send her text messages. Again, first asking her how the car was working, any problems and so forth.
My girlfriend then came to me concerned with how she was being talked to. Matt started texting her even more, starting at 8-9am and into the business day. And all the while, the messages were moving more and more away from matters of the car. He started telling her to shoot him a text if there's anything she needs then even had the audacity to ask her to drink with him and to attend a concert with him. She ignored both advances.
The biggest question I have is- Is this the way people's personal information should be getting used, information which is required to buy a car?
I was there both times to check out the car and test drive it. Matt knew who I was and what I was doing there. He even had pictures all over his desk of another girl.
It was my girlfriend who had the idea of writing up a review- HOPE YOU SEE THIS YOU ASS
had all intentions of buying my car from him too. I won't even go to a dorschel now, afraid of how my information will be used.
If I had my choice, I would take the car back.
Don't buy a car from there, at least not from him.
