Dormer Medical Spa is a wonderful cozy place to be. Dr. Dormer and the staff are wonderful. Dr. Dormer takes the time to fulfill any questions needed and takes the time for treatment without rushing. She also does free follow ups which is wonderful. My experience here was pleasant and I sure will visit again. I must also add that the spa is lovely. Wonderful place to try out! more

I have been going to Gretchen at Dormer Medical Spa for the past three years and I would never let anyone else touch my skin. I have acne, sensitive, combination skin and have spent countless amounts of time and money over the years trying to improve it. Gretchen has completely transformed it. I drive from Greenwich, CT every month to have a treatment from the Dormer Medical Spa. Sometimes for botox, other times for a wrinkle filler, a Laser Hair Removal touch up every now and then, and I get a facial every month. She keeps me looking my absolute best. I also love Dr. Dormer's product line. I have always used sunscreen but her special formula is the best -- it is silky smooth and does not burn my eyes! Although she would be willing to ship products to me I prefer visiting this lively and cheerful place where the energy is positive and the people are warm and inviting.\r \r If you are a mean person or simply a jerk you will not be happy here. \r \r If however you appreciate quality and cherish wonderful people you will absolutely LOVE visiting Dormer Medical Spa.\r more

I went to Dr Dormer on a recomendation and I was absolutely thrilled with the results . She treated me for Acne initially and then Botox . She was so sympathetic to the Adult Acne which has plagued me throughout my early 30's , I had tried everything but still had breakouts . I had the mini peel over and headed away for my christmas break , after light peeling over 2 weeks, i revsited her for a medical facial and the results were AMAZING , I was prescribed the relevant creams Dr Dormer makes herself and I can honestly say , my skin has never looked so good . I have had so many complements and have other GF's there who also have skin problems . It helps that everyone there is so friendly and helpful . I have honestly nothing bad to say about Dormer Medical Spa . Pros: Private and very friendly practise Cons: can't think of any more

I went to Dr Dormer to remove some age spots on my face.\r She suggested a chemical peal and then a 28 day regimen of her products. I ask her how much it would cost. She said $1000. Being a conscientious consumer I asked ""What does that include""? Dr Dormer said ""That includes EVERYTHING"". (verbatum)\r After I got home I noticed I was given only enough moisturizer to last only one week. They said when I run out I can ""purchase additional moisturizer for $52""!\r They scheduled me for a facial. Certainly I was under the impression that the facial that they told me I need to get was included. I was wrong. They charged me $150!\r I asked Dr Dormer if she understood the meaning of the word EVERYTHING.\r Dr. Dormer is a deceitful and sly personality w/ no integrity or scruples.\r Pros: Non Cons: She does not tell the truth more

The slanderous reviews on here are preposterous. Ive been coming here for years and years and have always had an excellent experience. The laser is amazingly thorough and the service is always welcoming and familiar. They run on time, and yes - sometimes Dr. Dormer suggests a product or two - but that's business, if you dont want it, just say no thanks. I recently went for my semi-annual botox injections and Dr. Dormer told me I didnt need them yet, and to come back in a few months. That's what I like about her - she's not going to give you something you dont need and that's important to me! Pros: efficient, fast and ethical. more

I don't think I have EVER been treated so rudely by so-called ""business professionals"". Unbelievable. Not a clue how good or not good the doctor is, but who would ever want to book an appointment to find out when the people that answer the phone do so with total disdain? more

I wasn't even going to write a review, I was just looking for the number because I lost my phone but when I saw the bad reviews I had to speak up.\r \r Those people giving one stars and slandering Dr. Dormer are just pure liars. I've been seeing her for about five or six years and have never had a problem and am about to make another appointment. I have NEVER had her try to push product on me and once when her old facialist started to point out ""flaws"" to be fixed Dr. Dormer cut her right off and I never saw her again. There's a new girl now. She even sent me home once after I came in for an appointment because she said I didn't need anything more done. She's very ethical. Too bad the Bride of Wildenstein doesn't have her as a doctor. \r Her photofacials are pricier than other spas but they are also more effective so you won't need a series. They're cheaper in the long run. I like her retinA, like her spa and like her work with fillers. I tried a cheaper spa once but never even saw the doctor and had a tip hungry Russian hard selling services on me and never went back. I had a condition called melesma and I went to several places over the years for help and it got just worse and worse. They helped me and they really cared and checked on me. Now my face is whiter and I have no dark shadow anymore. Thank you for giving me my life back. People do not know how hard it was to have this problem and I tell all my friends that have the pigment problem. I went to Dr. Dormer for the first time one month ago for Botox and some fillers. In the past, I have visited several of the top dermatologists in the city and have more often than not come out with a frozen or ""done"" look. Dr. Dormer however, takes a more conservative approach. She does the treatment and then insists that you return two weeks later for a follow-up. This ensures that too much is never done at once and if more is needed then it can be done at the follow-up visit. The results are fantastic! So many people have commented about how refreshed and rested I look. This to me is what constitutes an exceptional treatment! I am so pleased with my results I have already referred several of my good friends who have been too scared to do it in the past.. Dr. Dormer is a rarity in this city and I would highly recommend her to anyone who has been considering doing Botox but has been too afraid. You are in good hands with this Southern gem! I have been to several laser hair centers over the years and honestly, nothing really worked. Even with promises and free treatments, I just gave up hope. Then a close friend showed me her legs and asked where she went to remove her hair. DR. Dormer and her spa are fantastic. Gretchen is the medical assistant and she if thorough and a perfectionist. Everyone is so nice and so beautiful in this place. It even has a garden in the waiting area. So now I have no hair and my last treatment was 6 months ago. Now I go for facials and I leave looking great with clean skin. They use medical products on my skin during the facial and I dont break out. I would work there if I could as it feels like a close family. I just drop by sometimes to say HI. I could not recommend more so if you think nothing works and it is all hype, Just go see these honest people. I cannot believe I found a place like this in New York city. I had a a wonderful experience at Dormer Medical Spa. Dr. Dormer was wonderful. She spent plenty of time with me so that I could understand what exactly our plan for my face was because I have plenty of sun damage. I had a facial laser treatment for my hyper pigmentation and the outcome was amazing! She gave me a wonderful regimen to go by and I am completely happy because for the first time I do see results and my face is much, much brighter and even. I would highly recommend this spa. The spa itself is so cute and cozy and the staff is amazing also. I felt so welcomed and taken care of. Thanks Dr. Dormer!!! more

I have been going to Dormer medical spa for almost 8 years. I have to say I have not written before and for some reason just checked out the reviews. I trully believe that she is the best around and any review stating she burned the face permanently is false. This reviewer I believe is just someone who possibly never even saw her but just writes bad reviews. She has integrity and beware of possibly even competitors out there with a vendetta. I notified the office about the review but they could find no evidence of a person that ever had this problem and certainly not in the last few months. So BEWARE of Bizarre REviewer making False Claims.I had acne which is now controlled and get an Botox eyebrow lift that looks natural. She insists on followups to make sure you are pleased. The laser for spots will burn off spots in one treatment but in one week they are gone. No scarring and the laser is one they use on infants because of its safety and little downtime. So if you want personal attention and great results, go. Pros: beautiful spa,personal service Cons: wish they worked weekends more

Dr Dormer does excellent work with fillers. Was in a slight hurry as most doctors in my experience was worth every penny however. Staff was freindly and professional the wait was not terribly long and I look great!! more
