I used Door to Door for two pick-ups. The first went smooth and although the vehicle arrived with damage, the trucking company (not Door to Door) has been working with me and will cover all repairs. The second pick-up is another story. The vehicle was picked up 2 weeks after it was available. The first company they dispatched cancelled twice then when they reposted the vehicle (at my request) Door to Door had the wrong pick-up city listed and had trouble finding a driver. Door to Door was unresponsive with status updates and blatantly lied to me about their willingness to cover the extra rental car fees I was paying. I ended up paying an extra $215 for car rental fees and $200 to the trucking company. To their credit they did not charge me their $100 fee. In total I ended up shelling out an extra $315 from my pocket. It seems to me that when things are smooth they are fine but when they run into trouble they are awful. more

I had read all the reviews online and that is what convinced me to use Door to Door, along with the fact that they are a family owned and operated business. I spoke to Anthony on the phone and he was very pleasant and explained how easy the process was. My delivery driver was Ed and he kept me informed as to where he was and when he was expected to arrive at different locations all along the way. He delivered my new vehicle without any problems or incidents of any kind. My brand new car arrived in pristine condition and I was very excited to see it for the first time and thrilled that it was such an easy process for me. I saved about $150 by using Door to Door and I couldn't believe how many horror stories there were online about numerous other companies. Door to Door offered me a great price and I am so thankful that I didn't have to be one of those horror stories. Thank you sooooo much Door to Door. more

Good service but they could charge less more

This was my second time working with the company (first time was moving to school, TX to NC - that time was equally on-time, friendly service etc.). They picked up my car on time and then were super flexible about my situation on receiving. My friend who was going to receive the car had to leave suddenly and Door to Door worked out a fantastic arrangement that kept my car safe and were super convenient. more

This company is excellent and exactly as advertised. The customer service was friendly and courteous. The pick up was prompt and the delivery time was as promised. The price was also very reasonable. This a family business and they really seem to care about you and the cargo. Actions speak louder than words and they delivered. I highly recommend them and will use them again. more

Being a proud Aunt that was sending her 2000 Sebring Convertible to her niece Chanel, I was not familiar with transporting vehicles. I called many companies for quotes and Door to Door Transport came back with the best quote. Contacting Roy with so many questions not only prior to the shipment but during also was the easiest experience. Knowledgeable and kind and assuring that all would be fine set my mind at ease to use their transportation company. From the day I said book it, to the day it was picked up was only 5 days. The driver was accommodating and the vehicle was loaded and off in no time at all. My prized convertible arrived to my excited niece in perfect shape (along with those few bugs that hitched a ride along the way). A 3000 mile trip from New Hampshire to California was an experience that could have been frightening, but thanks to Roy and his families business, actually turned out to be the easiest possible experience. I would recommend using this company for any transportation needs you might have. Door to Door Transport have provided me excellent insight into the transport service industry and were very practical about the dates (when a vehicle could be picked up after placing the order and how long it might take to reach the destination). Right from the day I received their call for the quote that was guaranteed (which was $50-$100 less than the other reputed companies) till the day the vehicle (in-good condition) was received in California, I experienced very good service. I received quotes from many transport service companies and I did talk to almost 7-8 of them. As I talked to each one, got to know more about this business and 'Door-to-Door' provided a good insight into this industry and were very committed to the price they quoted (Some companies mentioned the price for which they book, can be increased if the driver demands more - here you are placed in an uncertain position of when and for how much your vehicle would be shipped). The most important part is, I knew I had to wait for about one week time for my vehicle to be picked up as it depends upon the driver covering the route. My vehicle had been pick up on the 4th day after the order had been placed and was shipped within 4 days from Virginia to California. The Best part, you'll be charged only after a driver had been assigned to ship your vehicle. I would definitely recommend to at least talk to the Door-To-Door transport personal while considering your vehicle move. Overall, they are Honest, Practical and offer great service. more

I've used car carriers before. My last time I received my car with 2 flat tires (they were not previous flat), a dead battery (car had a check up the month before, battery was in great condition), and a funk that could be described as a dead animal in the engine. But Door to Door transport was amazing! My car was picked up and received right on time, John the driver kept me up to date the entire time, Door to Door Transport was courteous and met my needs, my car was in the EXACT same condition I left it, and, lastly the most important thing, they were the least expensive out of every quote I received! If you have to use a car carrier, use Door to Door transport. Simply, they provide the best service. more

Review:All I can say is thank God for Door to Door Transport. I had originally contracted with another Transport Company to pick up my car between 4/28 and 5/4. I had put my order in on 4/13. I was told that I would receive an email once the car had been assigned and then the day before I would receive a call from the driver to give me the exact time that the car would be picked up. I never received an email and several calls to the company was given me the same answer word for word - don't worry your car will get picked up. After now reading bad reviews with this other company and seeing someone recommend Door to Door I decided to give them a call and spoke with Roy. I was in a state of panic as I needed to get my car on a truck before 5/5 as I was flying home. He explained to me how the trucks travel and how some just don't want to stop in Oklahoma City once they are on their route. I asked if I drove the car to Texas if it would make a difference and he said absolutely. I cancelled my other order and contracted with Door to Door especially because they have their own trucks and drivers. I drove to Dallas and the next day my car was picked up by Val one of their drivers. 5 days later my car arrived exactly when scheduled. I would HIGHLY recommend you use Door to Door Transport the next time you want your car transported. You will get an honest answer from them and not be left guessing when your car will be picked up. Their pricing was exactly the same. I even offered to pay more as I did not want to worry about it and Roy said that was not necessary and I paid the exact price originally quoted from the other company. I contacted Door to Door Transport after bad experiences with 2 brokers. I had a 2 day window to get the car out of a retirement home. Roy arranged an interim pick-up and storage of the car until it could be transported (Florida to California. He performed as agreed and I would use him again. more

I had two cars moved and was happy with both transports. Learned a good lesson about transports- if you want the car quickly get it shipped from a major/big city or interstate hub. Both cars arrived safely with all contents in tact. Tony was extremely helpful and communicative. The drivers were also both very friendly and easy to arrange pickups and drop offs. (JR) Door to Door provided one of the cost effective quotes with reasonable PU/ Delivery dates aligned to my expectations. Both Tony (the Coordinator) and Jimmy (the driver) were extremely courteous and professional. They were very accomodating and worked around our schedules for picking up the car as well as dropping off the car to my daughter in South Carolina.
