I enjoy the environment i experienced when i took my first step into this little shop located down on bardstown road. I really enjoyed the friendly faces, the eagerness to help and sure enough every question i happen to throw at the guys there, each where able to answer quickly, correctly, and with an amazing amount of knowledge. You could tell by talking to them, that they loved the work they did, and that music was their passion. What i really enjoy most about the shop, was the ""rent to own"" sort of thing. no credit checks, simple, easy and cheap. Ive had my violin and my boyfriend, Drake has had his hand drum for a couple of months now, and for only 30 dollars we rent them both, and i believe it was 60 percent of what we pay, goes into ownership of our instruments. The only downfall so far was i was unable to find a good selection of self-teaching books. Im kind of a book nut anyway, so it may not be a problem for anyone else. Regardless, This is the place to go for good service, good quality, and good answers for any up and coming musicians out there. Its also the place for anyone trying to learn, or interested in learning something new. I love the Doo-Wop Shop!
Pros: Wonderful Selection of Musical Instruments
Cons: Not a lot of self teaching books.
