When my husband and I were shopping for appliances, we opted to pay the extra money to get our appliances at Don's (rather than Sears or Lowe's), thinking that the small-business experience would pay off.
What a mistake. We have never encountered such rude and condescending ""professionals."" We went in with some finance questions upon receiving our bill, and rather than helping us to work them out diplomatically, they spoke to us condescendingly and insulted our financial management.
It was clear, from the outset, that our future business meant little to them. We are a young couple and, had the situation been handled differently, most likely would have bought all of our future appliances there. As aforementioned, their products are more money than at the typical chain store, but we thought Don's would make up for it with customer assistance and quality-control. Hopefully, by reading this review, we can save you the time, effort, and money by encouraging you to simply go with the big-name retailers, where you are treated as a respected customer--unlike at Don's.
Pros: Good products, but same can be found for better prices
Cons: TERRIBLE customer service
