Dong's Guns Ammo and Reloading

wow i been in there twice and both times those people that work there seem to think that customers owe them something lol. I do believe in karma sure cant wait until they get some lol. I would never step foot back in that nasty horrible service rat hole again!!! Having heard of this place for ages, at a friends urging i finally make a trip to Dong's to do some shopping.\r \r I find the parking lot looks vaguely like a minimum security prison...complete with tall fence, barb wire, the works. Plenty of cars in the lot, so i assume it must either be visitation day for the inmates, or else they are doing some business.\r \r i go inside, and start browsing....nobody acknowledges me, but there are several people at the counter. \r \r Lots of obscure items, but a lot of the inventory appears to be old stock, discontinued merchandise, etc. Items that if by some chance you are on a search to find, you ,MIGHT be glad to see at any price, but for the most part, more than half of the items are things that look like they had been hauled off the junk tables at a gunshow. \r \r I went for ammo...and i see they live by the motto "never allow a sucker to keep his money". 22LR was priced at 3-4x what i can find it for online, even given the current shortages.\r \r They d more

Sad when they chang the price on you $200 more at check out then tell you then no sale. No wonder some of the guys quit working there. That son-in-law is a problem for the old owner. But other gun shop are bringing in reloading equipment for handguns thanks sports world that owner is no jerk. more

This is a nest of criminals and idiots! They literally had my stolen FN/FAL rifle on the wall and due to a typo on the police report they weaseled their way out of returning it to me! They admitted that it was "probably" my stolen rifle but that without the complete serial number on the police report that they were not required to return my $1400 stolen weapon! more

I have found Dong's to be a great place for reloading supplies. They simply have items that are unavailable or sold-out online. Unlike other reviews, I have found no significant problems with customer service. I have seen their associates show guns to people who obviously were not there to buy but look and write down all the prices for comparison shopping. In these cases, the employees were patient, respectful, and willing to help. I plan to return often. more

Was in recently with wife to look for a handgun for her. I am not really super knowledgeable so I requested some advice. Request was basically met with a blank stare. Pros: great selection Cons: not a real warm and fuzzy atmosphere more

I have been a customer since the mid 60's. And purchased virtually any firearms related item you could utilize in a lifetime from them. I knew the owner and wife well. The man was a Japanese John Wayne. Second amendments rights leader and protector, this man was an example for all of us. Always wore a Hawaiian shirt, Bermuda shorts with a pair of tuned 45's on his hips. Has since passed and the family now operates the business. I appreciated him and miss him, my elderly grandfather would visit from out of state. Dong would give him special deals, some items for free, I swear. Dong's stocks nothing but quality goods, if you find that something isn't right, they will always make it so.\r Family is now running the business, they are friendly and knowledgeable. It is a very well stocked store with a variety that is hard to find under one roof anywhere else. Hunting, target,self defense, collectors items, reloading, Arms of every type. edged weapons, any firearm accessory you can think of. more

Lots of nice weapons---piss poor service. When you ask about a gun there, the SALESMEN act as though they are being inconvenienced (the store was not busy). I will spend my money somewhere else on principal. Had to give one star or insiderpages wouldn't let me submit. I still say no stars. more

I USED to purchase all my reloading supplies and ammo there. I called for availability and pricing on a magazine, drove the 20+ miles, to be told "I will not sell you the magazine because you are not purchasing a firearm from me" . I am no longer or will ever be a customer again. Pros: I was not there long enough this time to have a pro Cons: They are misleading and if they don't like the way you look (shirt and tie) they won't sell to you. more

Great Pricing - The staff knew what they were doing. I purchased a gun and they had the time to show me the features. I have ordered two others and I checked the prices compared to other places in the area. \r \r \r Great Job. more
